Happy about the last 2 weeks but made some interesting points

Play O' Hailpin for 5 weeks at chb
Play Bryan
Play Whitnall in his natural position at chf

Agree with point 1
Agree with point 2
Point 3 is ridiculous. Playing career best form in the back half, after umpteen disappointing seasons in the fron half.

i think it's stupid that o'hailpin has only played in teams where fevola hasn't, now, with fisher and waite out, is the time to play him, get him to run the opposite leads of fevola, he will be up against the oppositions second or third defenders, give him five or six weeks.. i know that prendergast, kennedy, de luca, bryan are all vying for similar spots, but three of these players have had their chances, many chances, where as o'hailpin has played in the capitualation that was carlton v. richmond '05 (as difficulter game as any to make a stamp upon) and hawthorn this year, where admittedly there was plenty of supply, this confuses all shit out of me, it's difficult to find any system in the teams being picked.

regardless, i believe his irishness would be a valuable commodity for this football club, like keneally's and styne's irishness has been for sydney and melbourne.

What does that mean? Does "irishness" really make a difference? In Stynes and Keneally's cases, I think the biggest factor in their success is damn hard work by 2 guys with their heads on right.

Actually I'd like to play Setenat at CHB, as he's been terrific there with the Bullants, and even try Whitnall at Full Back where you can use the body more and normally don't have to be quite as mobile (exceptions of course are players like Williams from Hawthorn.....don't let Lance near him). Might just help our defence and open so many more options. Nothing to lose, we get beaten anyway. Like to see Kennedy at CHF, Fisher next to him and Waite in Kouta's position on the ball. Like to see Bryan get a go or two as he showed something lasy year. Can kick, like to know if he can play consistently.

sydney had 22 players in last years grand final, which player had the cameras prying into and interviewing people of his home town?

keneally,

while, it's completely subject to the amount of work put in and the actually footy coming out, you can't deny the allure, perhaps not the right word, the fascination that comes packaged with that sort of international characteristic, perhaps it sounds like i'm taking it away from those two players, i'm not, for their success they would have been involved in alot of 'damn hard work',

there's the view that a footy club is a sporting team, and then there's the growing consensus that it's a business. while it would be difficult to justify choosing someone for their marketability, and it would probably never happen in this sport, and i'm trying not to say that it should, just that when ability allows those sort of players a senior position, their irishness has become something of fascination.

It's a fascination in a small way, I guess, but realistically their "exoticness" makes little to no difference to their ability to play, which is what we need more than anything at the moment, especially media distractions.

yep, i agree with that, the most important thing is their ability to play
