Verbs, you will find that Calton supporters are no different from any other club's supporters including other codes.

I can't apologize for being emotional and prone to the odd irrational out-burst or moment of stupidity.

The last four years have been an enormous strain, something that I don't need to tell any of you.

We all crave success and we want it now, but we know that it's not going to happen like that.

The beauty of sport is that it reaches across the entire cross-section of society and provides an outlet for built-up frustrations and emotions for those from all walks of life.

I'm afraid that some of us (myself included) are not C.E.O's of large corporations or High Court Judges (probably a poor choice there).

I wear my heart on my sleave...I'm not going to just sit there with my tartan blanket on my knee and my thermos of tea and cheer "bravo chaps, jolly good show, better luck next time" every time Carlton run onto the field.

To quote Billy Joel "I'm only human, allowed to make mistakes".....I'd add to that "allowed to have thoughts and opinions some of which others may take offence to".

I've never abused anyone for disagreeing with me, or for an interesting outburst within an independant post...but I will retaliate when I get told to F#&k off on a public forum.

Thread over.

Its so easy while you can hide in total anonymity isn't it.

I'm all in tears now.....boo hoo.

For your benefit I did a dictionary search on Knackers and the "computer said noooo".

No it didn't...only joking....this is what it actually said:

aggressiveness
hostility

As for the thesaurus:

A disposition to behave aggressively
A feeling of hostility that arouses thoughts of attack
Violent action that is hostile and usually unprovoked
The act of initiating hostilities
Deliberately unfriendly behaviour

Quite remarkable wouldn't you say?

No seriously, I'm sorry, I didn't realize that I'm not allowed an opinion on this site any longer.....One of the reasons I frequent it less often these days in fact.

The free porn sites are so much more fun!

Some of you should lighten up a little and stop being so aggressive. If you don't like a post, either ignor it, or why not try a the novel approach of compiling a factual argument to sit someone like me back on my arse......F@%&#! off...come on you can do better than that...or can you?

It gets a little boring when you continually read "you're a troll" and the "F@%&#! offs! and the "you don't love the club as much as me" theme shit.

One of the fantastic things about our game is the fact that we all have different opinions, emotions, loyalties etc...... all in a land where we can all practice our freedom of speech.....or not, so it seems!

But meanwhile Mr Knackers, and all those who support you including your best mate Jock Strap, I appologise for upsetting you by attempting to add a little humour to my opinion on Mr McClaren.

F.Y.I: I have been flying the flag for over 40 years and I am as proud of my club as the next supporter. That doesn't mean I have to have to think that every player that pulls on a Carlton Jumper is a Champion. I respect Mr McClaren and his type for their efforts...however if a player hasn't got it...he hasn't got it.....and Mr Knackers we have just a few more than a couple of these.....but things are looking up!

Now you can go back to blowing sunshine up someone else's arse...Suggested topics....Wiggins, Sporn, Davies and a few others.

P.S Thanks Synbad for the usual gentlemenly reply.

Apologies for the 'aggression', but after dragging the kids home from another frustrating loss I found more to like than not. I don't think McLaren was the reason we lost... and certainly not worthy of your thread. I heard the same 'type' of criticism from supposed supporters over my right shoulder all night (except for the third quarter funnily enough). Didn't realise it was meant to be humourous :? .

I don't have any problem with the criticism of players, they are open to it and I have my own targets. But surely there is better way to vent than to completely degrade a bloke who has tried and possibly been found wanting.... I recommend taking it out on negative posters.

Note - I'd be very careful when doing an internet search of 'knackers'. 8)

I think much of Dylan's performance relates to his confidence being totally shot!! Unfortunately our coaching staff still live in the era of publicly humiliating players who they think are not doing enough. It may have worked on some players in the past for DP/TE etc but it won't work on every player!

Mclaren is a good tap ruckman when he gets his hands on the ball but doesnt do enough around the ground.....same old story with all our rucks ....they shine in one area only but are not the complete package say like a Brendon Lade who is capable in all areas......
Effes is right..recruit a quality rookie ruck..
Give Bryan a go and he will give us some positives in general field play but I dont expect his ruckwork to be as good as McLarens or Frenchs...
One thing Bryan might give us is some grunt and muscle.....Pratt and Gibson intimidated some of players and we didnt have anyone to hit back with.....Fev excepted....

None of us expected anything great from Dylan McLaren, just we needed him in the short term to fill a hole.

Did anyone else notice that Moaty got dictionary and thesaurus mixed up... twice?

D-Mac is a patch up player at best. He has a role to play, its just taking him a while to adjust....

Is he still considered 'young' for a big man?

Jesussssss.......more nit-picking.

O.K I've already stated more or less that like many posters on sites like this one.... I’m no scholar.

So... Crusader you obviously have lots of time on your hands and you decided that you don't like me.

The digs on this site at poster's accuracy regarding grammar or their use of words etc is excruciatingly painful.

Nearly every post has a mistake or two within it and it takes a "special kind of person" to go to the trouble of gloating over pointing them out.

If you don't like an individual or an individual’s post, lets destroy their personal character by going to extreme efforts to point out their grammatical errors. (I just had a look at my original post that got me into all this trouble...boy it really really (deliberate repeating of words) is nit-picking...desperate stuff indeed...after all it was approaching midnight.)

Maybe the powers that run this site should seriously think about dividing this site up into divisions. The elite like crusader would obviously be in the Premier Division…after all why should they have to tolerate the likes of myself. I would obviously be in the second or maybe even a third division.

All of us "nongs" could wallow in our little own closed division “happy as Larry” making our rash little uninformed posts, making all the grammatical errors in the world, and most probably not even aware of it…bliss!

There could of course be a relegation system however I do foresee that there would be problems with this, for just as with politicians (who see themselves as being above everyone else, knowing what’s best for everyone, and of course they are always correct), the Premier division folk would protect themselves and would hardly risk being infiltrated by the lowly riff-raff from divisions below.

................................................................

I made a rash post in the heat of extreme disappointment after we were destroyed in the final 10 minutes of a game in the middle of the ground. Dylan McLaren was very ordinary in that time. Barnaby French is no superstar however he does give our side something. When Barnaby is in the middle we are competitive. I guess I’ve been expecting Dylan to at least come up to Barnaby’s standard… and yes I do know that Dylan has been a model citizen since coming to the Blues. I’m just a bit frustrated that we don’t have a more mobile alternative.

I’ve tried to explain myself… more than once… I have apologized for my rashness and I’ve privately made up with Knackers…Now will you all get off of my back!

PS. Crusader failed to pick up that I also spelt McLaren incorrectly…more than once!!!!! :-D

Disclaimer: Please note that I am in no way a scholar, nor have I ever been scholar, nor am I likely to ever be a scholar. I therefore take no responsibility for any unseen grammatical errors within this post or any other post that I may make in the future.

Signed

Yours sincerely,

Moaty.

Still the knives are out for McLaren. What's the alternative? Did you miss the nice tap to Blackwell for a rovers goal in the second qtr? Haven't seen French do that once all year. Doubt whether Bryan has done it for the Bullants. Who else?

na its not the boobnoos oits the lack of body contact, the lack of movement - jesus DeLuca and McLaren made him look second rate on the weekend - that's why they got picked and he didn't.

what I would like to see happen is Bryan dropped to the ressies and promote batson or aisake.

That would actually decribe more players than Bryan.... and he isnt as bad as that.....

Play him and see what happens........ :P

Agree with Synbad, Mclaren has been tried and lets be honest, has been average at best and IMO has not shown anything better than Bryans 11 games last season.
The guy can mark, pinpoint long passes and generally give us a target aroung the ground, something McLaren and for that matter French fail to do.
I mean, Ruckmen dont man up on each other nowdays so how is it ours dont get any possesions

GIVE BRYAN A F@CKING GAME
