Why don't you include now and seasons end as options?

yes and i dont think anyone should worry about this he's aready hinted that he'll retire i think we should let him play out the rest of the year and carry him off the field in his last game at least there'll be a massive attendance.

I think 'retire' is the word you were looking for... and yes.

He should retire at seasons end, not due to form or anything, I just don't think his body can continue.

Ummm - doesn't everyone retire eventually?

I reckon he should announce it now, and play out the season. Gives us a chance to say goodbye.

For some reason Carlton players never do this. They always wait till after their last game.

I'm 99% sure though his last game this year will be his last ever.

I think he should retire at the Carlton vs Essendon* game. Before the game he could talk about his best games with highlights of his final quarter in the 1999 prelim in the background. What a way to go out

Would be very disappointed if he didn't play one last home game before he goes.

Maybe there is a spot for him up forward, assisting the kids in a developing side.
