What a bummer.

Murphy
Waite
Fisher
Bower
Hartlett

These were the players I was hanging to see play in the seniors together this year..... All injured. We have no luck.

This is what the bombers fans think of Murphy..

Don't worry about Murphy, he will be alright, its only a small thing.

Did Chris Judd have 2 shoulder reco's before he started ?

Otherwise people like Synbad, Camelboy and others would be broke.

Very reassuring...I was worried it was career ending.

times, @#$%&! one thousand, copeland has long been acknowledged as a dirty flower and this has proved it in the eyes of many carlton supporters.

Haha, this from the kid that had a go at me about my spelling.

You'll go alright once you find your niche. It's good having a mix of ages posting on here.

Anyway, I've merged the "Injury Update…" and "Murphy out for the season" threads. Still rotten news about Murph. :(

owell. atleast we wont have to deal with tanking talk for the rest of the year.
we simply dont have a choice this year.
cant see how we could possibly win 3 games out of our remaining 9.

kouta, murphy, waite, fisher, are realistically the only regualr 22 that we have out.
kouta wasn't even playing well and waite was up and down like a yoyo.

shows how little depth we have.

great chance for blackers continue his good form of the last few weeks.
also a great chance for bentick and keep up his good work. carrazzo and russell can expect more quality time in the guts.

Shows how risky the tanking strategy can be. There's always the chance that a gun recruit could have a serious injury.

I am just so sad. Just when I thought the affairs of Carlton could cause me no more pain (i deliberately missed watching the game on the weekend) i get dragged back in with news of Murphy.

I feel so sorry for the little guy. I so wished he would take out the norwich rising star. The moment i found out was like a sharp pain to my gut. i felt so demoralised.

Copeland deserves to be hunted next time. I will dislike brisbane and everything they represent for the rest of my life. I know that sounds over the top - but until their is some form of justice i will hold onto this grievance against that club.

Notting should have definitely got 8 weeks minimum for his attack on caracella. I know the AFL won't come down hard on their blatant attacks on the neck as it appears brisbane players never get suspended when they should. who charges in with their hip to a blokes neck at full throttle?
what a disgrace.

When Carlton eventually one day beats brisbane by 100 points plus i will feel no pity for them. not one bit. I will remember back to how i felt when i heard about murphy's injury.

You are a tool

You say you didn't even watch the game then say that "Copeland deserves to be hunted next time. I will dislike brisbane and everything they represent for the rest of my life. " ... yet you obviously didn't see the incident cause it was simply a well executed tackle .. no more, no less ... get a life

Ahh, the old "he could get hit by a bus the day after we recruit him" philosophy. One of my favourites. :P

Look, Copeland is a queenslander.. and as a Queenslander he is well tutored in the art of dwarf throwing....

But youre not going to tell me that he didnt try to smash Murphy.. go back through the tape and you WILL see him attempt it about 5 minutes earlier as well.
We didnt protect him .. and we certainly didnt support him after it happened.

Sure it footy!!!... but never underestimate the psychological blow that was made by the Lions and allowed by us.

Alot of footbaLL is the mental aspect. Its about camaraderie , bonding, sticking up for your matres and looking for weak points in the opposition to exploit.
They did it.. we didnt!!!..

But thats got to have a negative impact to our season and a positive to theirs.
Their kids walk taller.. ours walk shorter into every other game coming up.

I saw the highlights on After The Game. They showed the incident two or three times.

Yes. Copeland deserves to be hunted... unless you think that Carlton should be a team for the meek ? Are you suggesting that carlton turns another cheek and next time we meet them allow them to do the same to simpson or waite?

i don't know if you have watched much footy, matador, but have you ever wondered why wallis was in Essendon*'s team all those years? it wasn't for his skill. every team needs an enforcer and carlton clearly doesn't have the cattle. An incident like the murphy one makes it all the more clearer.

Look back to the 93 grand final and see how an enforcer can change the result of a match... mil hanna... remember him? watch it and see how an enforcer is so important.
