Yes; he's only 25 still....turns 26 in August.

He did play 33 games (incl. 7 with Carlton); but couldn't run out of sight on a dark night.

Stilll.....Diesel was slow; but.................he could play a bit.

Actually remember thinking at the time he was delisted that he was a bit stiff, had deficiencies definitely and we probably don't miss him but he only played seven games and from memory didn't really do a hell of a lot wrong...

gallagher is not the worst player for carlton - andrew balkwill is the worst player ever to have played for carlton. could not mark, kick or do anything. have no idea how he ever got an afl list - would not kick a goal for ormond amaters reserves, honestly.

Gallagher is currently playing for Sandringham in the VFL.He goes OK.Servicable for the Blues and no worse than a lot of others that played for us.But was an idiotic swap for Massie.

Massie for Eccles

Gallagher was for Nelson,

Still think his skills were the killer

Sorry molsey...his skills were bad, but his speed was equally as bad :)

Definitely his speed - his skills weren't as bad as Eccles... I think Eccles' skills were amongst the worst I've seen!

Eccles had shocking hamstrings, and that's why his skills were so bad apparently... still doesn't forgive him for not being able to kick a ball as far as me! And why our recruiters couldn't see that, we'll never know!

Did I say he was fast? I said his pace was not the reason for his career ending... very different things. His turnovers were continual and even when he sourced the ball, using his pace for instance, he gave it up. He worked very hard but couldnt convert it to advantage.

Your contention seems to have slipped over the past few days too youngster - you seem to be saying he was too slow for the back pocket... and not slow overall. What are you saying?

hell of a nice bloke though but i felt he had no mongrel about him. Had a chat with him at the club once and compared ink work with him. Had that one humungous tribal peice on his back spanning his shoulder blades. May stilll have a pic of it around. But as slow as pregnant elephants bowel movements.
