The endeavour.
It's still there after so many losses. The players busted a gut for 3 quarters but ran out of puff in the last.

Setanta improving every week.

JK (when he's on the ground  ) is picking up the tempo.

The fish looked very lively (when he was on  ).

Setanta is looking like he belongs as each week goes by. What a big test for him to play on Grant.

Blackers and Bentick doing extremely well in the guts. Surely Blackers will get the NRSN this week?

Lappin getting through the game unscathed. Contributed as well.

Likewise Fisher. Kicking seems to have got better.

More game time for Josh.

Without having too big an influence on the game, DeLuca still did alright.

Eddie's 3 goals.

Perhaps the fact that they are both carrying injuries has something to do with them not playing a full game...

They have niggles and fisher has been out for about 8 weeks.. why come up with such sarcastic comments like this, mate im as frustrated as you, but u people and ur constant criticism of not giving the kids a go..??

I dont understand it... Josh Kennedy is 18yo.. he has a long time in the game, he doesnt need to be on the ground 24-7 and same as fisher coming back from a long term injury...

Seriously mate, this kinda bitching about kids not being given a go.. i dont understand it... Setanta O Hailpin also has been less than impressive although he was brought back into the team in place for Russell... Now with the form he has shown, i think that shows pagan is developing the kids...

We are dying for a win and that should be our first priority especially under the circumstances where we are putting in so much and getting jack shit in return..

So keep with your negative bullshit and nit-picking... I can understand it but it really gets old after a while, just the same old stories etc..

The fact is atm we are just a very average side and too inexperienced...

Pendlebury had 23 touches, including 9 contested possessions against the Dockers. Me thinks he's probably going to get the nod, much to Juzz's disgust.

Blackers and kennedy got more than their usual alloted 15 mins combined game time. That's good.

French ensured that i tipped eight for the round :-D

The match committee proved that Trent Sporn is crap.

The kids were again excellent.

I witnessed Play of the Year (for Carlton that is) when Kennedy smashed the pack and Eddie roved for a goal. Magnificent.

I thought Kennedy was fantastic - 8 marks was pretty impressive.

Interesting team placements and a real thrusting of the kids to the on-ball grouping... great to see. Love that sort of stuff. Stevens and Scotland in defence and throwing the kids (other than Walker) to the middle was enjoyable.

This was another game where we were close enough to win it but for the mistakes of some relatively senior players.. French's handball, Stevo's miss for goal, Walker stopped chasing... on our day we're close to good teams.

Another scalp to Houlihan - Eagleton. Although I doubt when Houlihan thought he was moving to the midfield it was to tag.

In the game without Fev kicking a bag.

Good to very good performances by bentick, Kennedy, Simpson, Blackwell. That's what it's all about for mine.

i think we'll get him regardless, i've heard from lots of difrent people that Essendon* dont want him but i guess its way too early now they havent even had the draft camp yet. sadly, i cant see us beating the bummers next week so the spoon could come down to percentage. but we probably are a big show against Essendon* we need 22 players to play 4 quarters of good, attacking footy and that includes the last 10 minutes of the last quarter. we're not going to win more than 5 games this year so i really hope we get up this week and if we win less than 5 games next year that would have to be the end of our misery.

Good coaching by Pagan today, I thought he made some excellent moves and went for the win.

Started on the ground & can't remember seeing him on the bench much.

We're one game closer to not having to watch Sporn in a Carlton jumper again
