Campo gave us 11 years of great footy let's not forget that. But the problem that everyone has overlooked is that our stupid cockroach has driven him, rats, braddles, hume etc out the door and next on his list is stevens. Fancy putting our best onballer in the back pocket for most of the match absolute joke. Why do you all think that Kouta will not play one more year? answer = He doesn't want to put up with the shit our coach has 2 offer week in week out. All you have 2 look at is where sheedy is playing campo, on the bloody ball or wing not back pockets denis!!! But 4 what it's worth i'll be there giving that selfish prick on sat the boooooooooooooos!
Every possie I saw of The Cancereale against St Kilda was off HBF, taking the cheap possie skirting (apt word, really) around the back of the pack and taking the ball off the player who did the hard work and got it in the first place.
Your anti-Campo agenda KK is getting tiring and immature KK. He could have 96 possessions and kick 12 and you'd find fault somehow. OK you don't like Scott Camporeale very much that's your choice. But your blatant anti-Campo bias is clearly obfuscating your ability to judge his performances objectively, and it just makes you look stupid. You will never give him any credit and I find that that probably reflects more on you as a poster than it does on Campo as a footballer. The fact that you call him "Cancereale", whilst I do understand the context and realise that it is not your term and you are not the only one using it, is in my opinion scandalous. At the end of the day KK he's just another footballer like everyone else. Campo was a very good servant of this club and I will always (and I think many will) ultimately remember Campo as a quality footballer for the Carlton Football Club.
It just pisses me off to see Campo treated this way, I don't think that he deserves all this derision and vitriol. I can understand why some posters are not best pleased about all the circumstances surrounding his exit, his alleged actions etc but I think you and many others are just out of line with some comments but the thing that annoys me most as I said is the blatant bias in assessing his performances. I don't consider myself a Campo apologist I just think that sometimes a bit more objectivity and thought doesn't go astray.
Go back and look at some of the stuff I've written about Campo here, and on TBV. I was one of the biggest Campo fans around, and thought he got a raw deal by a lot of people.
The way he behaved last year WAS a cancer through the team, and as such, any service he ever gave to the club will permanently be tainted by his actions. When Carlton, and its supporters needed players like Camporeale to stand up and put the team first, all he could think of was what was in it for him.
Camporeale did less than nothing for the team last year with every one of his useless possessions. He's doing the same this year at Essendon*. That's not just my opinion.
No one player is bigger than our Club. And the way Camporeale treated Carlton, in it's time of need for leaders, was a disgusting act of a coward. You think differently? That's your prerogative. I'm not changing my opinion, and given some of the things said on this board about current people at Carlton, my comments on The Cancereale are kind of mild, really.
