How much did he contribute yesterday & who played on him. That person who contributes nothing to the team?

So he's a tagger now?? :?

I'm sick of watching him approach a contest like a teenage girl going in for a swim at 13th beach in June.

He falls over and leaves blokes like Blackwell and Bentick to try to hold the opposition at bay.

Yeah/nah, I've had it.

Why Houlihan, Budzy? No good? Sounded ok on the radio.

I'd like to see how Jackson goes playing the same sorts of roles that Houla has played the last couple of years.

Bingo Budzy! My thoughts exactly!!!!!

I'd prefer to see a Walker or Jackson fill the spot that Houlihan is doing.

How many cheap goals does Walker give away each week because he's not smart about where he runs?

Think about that.

Some of the crap spun about Houla is just a re-hash of stuff from years ago, some of which he might do once a fortnight, just like every other player his size in the competition.

There'll only be one change (other than injuries) - OUT: Sporn and IN: (please insert).

You're spot on!! The team should be advised that when specific players have the ball and are pushing forward, defenders need to man up as it will be coming back very soon. Our blokes always seem to be surprised when we turn it over allowing them to be 20m in the clear.

Walker is better away from the fullback line and I'm getting a bit fed up with Pagan giving this lad all the tough jobs ...there is development and there is stifling a players natural abilities...he should have been allowed to run in the midfield in the second half and give us some run as we badly ran out of legs..

If he has to tag I think he should be doing it as a midifielder and not in the last line of defense...........I think other players ie Houlihan, Scotland get it a lot easier.......

Again, proof that i believe Walker is being wasted.

If Walker is continued to be played as a Full Back/Defender or even a Tagger type role then he will continue to give away goals. Rodney Eade new this yesterday and he must have been Rubbing his hands together with joy when Walker was left on Brad Johnson for as long as he was.

For a brief period thou, BJ moved up into the centre and Walker followed -And Looked Comfortable.
Grabbed himself a few Hard Ball gets, earnt himself some clearances and just looked more at home.

BJ headed back into the Forward line and just ran rings around him basically.

It's Walkers biggest weakness, even more so than his dispossal. Walker doesnt want to chase the man because his natural game is to run the ball and deliver it to the forward line. It's sad and it is an area that i want him to work on, but at the same time we are denying him that freedom and his game is failing.

And while Walker MAY give away some cheap goals, i aggree with you there, HOULIHAN is just as bad.

Walker and Pagan = Kouta and Parkin pre 2000.

PS: How cool, 2006 posts in the year 2006

He is fine manning up on an opponent, as is Houlihan, it's others who can't manage a man and create that cause us problems.

It only takes two or three on the field to do that and the odds are stacked against you.

I'd love to see Russell get put straight back in - show some confience in the kid which he may be able to feed on ... but don't think it's Denis' style ...

I think there may be 3 changes to the team with Bryan Waite and Russell coming in to the side. Wouldn't mind seeing Jackson promoted and included before Russell but I think if Russell is not promoted and the MC thinks it's going to be a wet bog at the MCG then Teague may get a recall. Stroner body for a tough slog and a horses for courses policy.

I think the 3 players to make way would be Barnaby DeLuca and Sporn.

In Bryan Out French
In Waite Out DeLuca and I hope
In Russell Out Sporn

Forecast at this stage is for a sunny, dry day. Not good news for Teague.
