His beautiful wife goes into labour on Saturday for there first child together.

I'm pretty sure that Fev said on TFS last week that his misses was due on Friday this week.

What if, she hasn't had it by Friday and maybe Saturday is the day.

Does Fev play in what would be the most important game for the Carlton football club in years OR does he attend the birth of his first child ?

If I was Fev, family comes first, no matter what. I wouldn't have missed the birth of my 2 bubs for anything.

Your thoughts ?

i've been thinkig the same thing since he said it on TFS and i guess i'd be selfish if i wanted him to play instead but the question he has to answer is a great chance to improve lead for coleman and help his team avoid the spoon or watch birth of baby? it's a really tough call and let's hope it doesnt come to that.

Footy means nothing if his child is being born, if his wife has the baby when we play i will be pissed if he plays. Nothing else is important.

With luck she'll go into labour on Thursday hahaha. The question should be if she goes into labour while the game is in play or while they are warming up (both pre-game or before that)?

Its a non-decision.

This is such a pissweak game in the overall scheme of things you wouldn't think twice. Remember, 2000, when Bradshaw chose babies over facing the Blues in a final at the G? That's the right call, even though they lost on the day.

Call me old fashion but having been to three births myself I would much rather the old fashion way where the man stayed at the pub and waited for the phone call . then handed out the cigars and wet the babies head .

So if it wasn't for this modern way of thinking if I was Fev I would go to the footy but in this day and age it it considered shameful for the man not to be there

funny 50000 years on this earth and men were forbidden at births a couple of decades of feminist rule and it is almost a criminal offence not to attend

Break the mold Fev go to the footy

If you dare

i can tell you guys now, that if his wife Alex goes into labour on saturday he will not be playing because he has said that he will not miss the birth of his child even if it is on the same day as a game.
