Practising my dictation skills!

Want to stand by the club at these times
Recall 95 - everything turned to gold
Appreciate 95 more now as time goes on
Expected to play in the GF in 96
Have to make most of the premiership opportunities
QUESTION - Are Denis & co on the right track?
I think so. when Denis first got here he changed a lot of things. He's changed his gameplan - keeping up with the times. Havne't got the list like other teams so have to play a bunch of kids. AH, CF, PB all mentioned as exciting players. PB still immature but should be good.
QUESTION - What's it like seeing the young kids come through?
You form your own beliefs on the players. Not many kids putting their hands up last year, that's changed this year - Fish, Bentick, Carazzo
QUESTION - Retirement?
When I was injured I thought when I got back I'd see how I played. Wanted to play well for the rest of the year. Club has to want me. Spoken to Denis briefly and he's postive. body's really good.
QUESTION - Could you play as a permanent forward?
Potent forward line - Betts, Fev, Waite. Not natural for me
Callers
Blacky - biggest problem is engine room - having young guys in the middle means not enough pre-seasons. Can't pick uo the pace of the game. Have to be patient.
ANSWER - me and Ratts played in defence a lot. Me at FB in younger days. We had to bide our time to get into the midfield. Young guys are in there too early but they're getting great experience
SMS - give Ox (Mark) a smack in the mouth for 2000 final
DARREN - Pays out Ox because he bags Pagan too much

COMMERVCIAL BREAK

SECOND SEGMENT

Other games and issues - Adelaide, compared to 2000 Bombers, can you just have an off day?

Looking back to 95 we got thumped by two bottom teams
Ox mentions there's a few stories about that!
Not me, not a gambler
They play Collingwood this week - I rate them highly. Big challenge for the Crows
Do Carlton have a hard training month like the Crows do?
We have harder weeks than others. Adelaide reminds me of my athletics days
Ox mentions there's been a dummy spit re McLeod not liking the current regime
West Coast - with Lynch playing well I reckon they're favourite to win. With their running brgiade they're my pick for the premiership.
Re Collingwood vs Adelaide. Huddo mentions Buckley resting against the Crows - would you do it?
Ox - no - not a chance.
Huddo - Kouta, what if Denis asked you to take a break?
Kouta - I'd want to play!
Caller (Crows fan) - worried about lack of key forward and shit rucks at taking marks around the ground. Clarke's marking average is one goal per game
Ox - McGregor a great mark. Burton a great mark.
Huddo - Ricciutto beaten by Chick but still an awesome player
Kouta - yeah, he's still an awesome player!
Huddo - you've beaten Melbourne - they've come a long way since the loss. Do you like 'em?
Ox - hammy injuries will be a be a big loss. Tey'll win three more for the year - Carlton, Sydney, Roos - might lose to Geelong & Adelaide
Huddo - Essendon* v Brisbane. both sides played attacking footy. do you learn more playing attacking game or chipping game?
Kouta - learn from both games. Prefer old style game - freeflowing, get the ball in quickly. Love Eade's gameplan. Hard to do - have to watch momentum in a game - need to slow play down when necessary.
Ox - looked like Denis wants you to play that way?
Kouta - yeah, sort of - quick movement of the ball in the fourth quarter is what we tried to achieve
Huddo - what about Freo?
Kouta - very talented, run forward of the ball, if you win the cotest you make it difficult for them. Prett tough for them
Caller - Sammy - PPs. Re Essendon*, if next year, Lucas, Lloyd and Hird as permanent forwards, how good would that be. If we beat Hawks and Tigers - we miss PP. It's stupid to beat them. I'd rather have the pick
Huddo - I agree
Ox - perhaps use a marble (lottery system)
Kouta - want to win every game. Players don't hink about PP. AFL probably need to look at system

COMMERICAL BREAK TWO

Oops - missed a bit

Sticks was a great man on and off the field
Who should be next captain?
Lance has done a terrific job. Nick Stevens. Maybe Fev - really standing out.
Did you think Fev could turn it arond?
Yep - he's a great guy
How has Fev changed from one year to the next?
Without Lance and Fev we would have been screwed. We didn't want to trade Fev. Thanks his wife Alex for slowing him down. Keeping him out of trouble
Ox - how important is it for kids to see right example?
As captain you have to set the standards. Fev integral part of team - to see him mature it show anyone can
The playing group is very tight - you get a chance to play together for a number of years. Grown up with Ang and have great memories - the young kids can now do that
Huddo- the Saints? Dangerous team?
K - their list is enormous
Was Hamill a big loss?
Enormous - helped Lance with his ferociousness. Need it in a good team. That was his main role
Ox - do you go to the team and say keep him?
I dind't have a say back then. Probably a few things said behind doors
Huddo - Swans. How good are they this year?
K - get under the guard a lot. Play a non-spectacular brand. Not easy to get a kick against them. One on one hard contested ball is what they love
Ox - what's the feeling about the draw last week?
Would have loved to have won. We were three goals down and it was a relief for us to get the draw. Our first four quarter game in ages.
Huddo - what about the spoon?
Third time in five years. We've gotta strive to win as many games as possible

West coast is my pick. Dark horse is Collingwood. Watched them a number of times and theuy have the runing power to succeed. I was a Collingowod supporter whn I was young

ENDS

And I'm going to look like a right flower if there's a podcast of this
