Don't know about that Gerry. Mitchell appears to be basically an observer on game day.

They really need new blood in there. Obviously Pagan isn't going so I guess Smithers will have to do.

I'm not even sure that Denis and Barry are even on talking terms. I know they have had their problems in the past which have been said to be all fixed but i'm almost positive that Barry is not a big fan of Denis.

Who does Denis get along with apart from his appendix TE??

The whole club are a JOKE

Should Pagan be sacked? OF COURSE
Should we have a new board with a vision? OF COURSE

We have no clues..... but change is only possible if SOMEONE SOMEWHERE at the club admits they [REDACTED] up in the past and rectifies things.

I just took this from an article on the CFC website...................

Quote:
Denis Pagan will use the final five rounds of the season to ascertain what type of players Carlton needs for an improved ladder-position in 2007.

Is it just me who sees that as a genuine tank? Should i just go drop a large $200 on Carlton to win another spoon?

Quote:
"We need another defender that goes without saying," Pagan said after the match.

Could this be an indication as to inclusions this week? Bower or Hartlett perhaps?

Quote:
"We need another midfielder, someone who can support all the guys who go in there," Pagan said

Could this be an indication as to who we'll be taking come draft time?

Ryan just another indication that Pagan is lost big time. Monumental stuff up by the board to re sign him so soon after the Wiz Cup. At least we are financing his sprawling equine endeavours.

I don't think Freo pulled a rabbit out of the hat with Sandilands. There were issues about bringing him into the city (which would have been magnified incredibly by resettling his family and him in Melbourne), but I doubt whether many recruiters would not have been attracted to a 211 cm ruckman in the rookie draft.

Rookie draft? I haven't heard of this? Is this the Pre season draft (?) or late picks in the main draft??
just requesting clarification because it seems as if you have hit upon some interesting points SOS .

Where do you get this complete and utter crap from????? Do you sit at your desk and think about what drivel you can make up and post today.

Wake up to yourself and grow up. That sort of posting does absolutely zero for the club and the people concerned.

Cazz, sorry mate......................but i've just had enough of your shit! Your more than welcome to continue you rather-disturbing hatred of my posts all you like but i'm just gonna ignore them from now on.

But on Mitchell, he has gone on record to say that he and the Carlton Coaching staff were on shaky terms when the Bullants/Carlton alliegence came into effect and has said just this year that it is still a very touchy issue but they are constantly working on it!

Hell he even said that it's still a work-in-progress on the ABC a few weeks back.

Maybe you should read my post again mate. I never said it was fact - YOU ASSUMED I DID!

I have been kindly informed by a knowledgable talkingcarltoner and Blueseum man about the rookie draft etc. :)

So my main question to SOS is do you have any names/stats on Rookie's making the grade? I know of Setanta O'hAilpin and been told that T-bird and Carrazzo amongst others for the blues. Any others elsewhere aside from Sandilands?

2 + 2 is not 5. What he was referring to was the work in progress between those who run the Bullants and those who run CFC. NOT the working relationship of Mitchell v Pagan as you have suggested.

This is my point in all this. Simply because you have no understanding of the actual facts you assume the reference was about Mitchell and Pagan. From your simple misunderstanding you have arrived at......and i quote i'm almost positive that Barry is not a big fan of Denis.

As I said........your post is complete fiction and factually untrue.

Mate...................that's fine. We can aggree to disagree - it is possible to do on a discussion forum you know! It may seem hard, but it is possible.
But you've just gotta continually butt in and attack min and everybody elses posts. Why? I just don't get it mate...............i really dont!

Tell you what, i take it back. I am now totally and utterly convinced beyond all doubts that Pagan and Mitchell are the best of friends. They're probably having a coffee down on Lygon street right now!

Could it be possible that our players are just dopey bastards who don't listen to the coaches?

None of us can say for sure (unless you make shit up) what is being said to the players at training and during matches.

It can't be all DPs fault. He can only work with the cattle he has.

I know what your saying Baggers and whilst i'm not a Denis supporter, i am not laying all the blame on him.
I think it's the players copping most of the blame thou (Mainly from media though!).

I wouldn't have a clue to be honest. But i have seen as much of the Bullants as i have of Carlton in the past two years and i just see the Bullants playing a much more different game and style.

Of course i take preference to Carlton on the days that the games clash, and you have to take into account the step-down and difference in quality with the AFL to VFL but the way the Bullants play compared to the way the Blues play are just two totally different games.

Marks are not allowed for kicking backwards in the VFL and I think there are another couple of rules that are also different to AFL. These factors alone necessitate a different (and more direst) playing style. Different coaching philisophies may be part of the reason but there are also many other factors at play.

Yeah i know what your saying. And just the general drop in standard from the AFL to VFL is a major factor too. (i love the non-kicking backwards rule!)

I appologize thou.................i though Gerry asked me, but he was asking Cazz. Hence i deleted that post (or at least tried to).
I'll leave it for Cazz to answer Gerry instead.
