And this post is why I love you, Deano!!

All together now...

"You gotta accen-tuate the positive
Elim-inate the negative
Latch on to the alternative
Don't mess with Mr In-between."

I see Simmo as our Adam Schneider (different type of play and position, obviously, but you know what I mean....)

Hmmmmmmmmm. Was that goal on the run in the dying minutes of the game one of the sweetest things you ever saw? :-)

Very lucky to have him.

2 picks from that draft were on fire today! Fisher deserves some credit too!

Well done boys!!!!!!

Except for last week, 1 goal 3... his kicking was way off... wasn't his day.

But for an Emerald boy at pick number 45, playing as good as he has... you gotta love him.

Clearly he doesn't know what he is talking about... worst disposal on our list... that is extremely laughable.

Thanks BH

and the stats arent going to help that bloke out either. there are 14 players on our team who average more errors a game than kade simpson:

I still have no idea why all those others ignored Simmo. He was a very good player for Vic Metro that year. I don't remember if he got All Australian or not, but he had that good a carnival. I was very happy when he was still available at pick #45, even if he did take a while to mature (and with his frame I am not surprised that it DID take a while).

i put this up on talkingplayers as well but here's a mock draft of 2002 and it has kade predicted to go at no.20 so we were very fortunate to have him available at 45:

Be careful, we picked up Carrazzo and let Davey through too the keeper.

As much as I like Carrazzo of course :-D

Kade wasn't a stand out as a junior, just a good honest battler...

In the end he was a late bloomer, lucky us!
