Probably a late bloomer in reference to his work at U18 level methinks then FF.

I remember reading back in 2002 when we got Simpson that the our football dept. couldn't believe their luck that he hadn't gone in the draft earlier!
Well done Simpson!!

He was left until late by a number of clubs because he was so small and there was a concern that he would take a long time to come on.

He did take a while (whilst many thought he was a wasted pick) but he's certainly come on.
