4-6 weeks so i dont think he'll be playing finals but at least he'll have a full pre-season.

do yous reckon waite can take over in kouta's position as a utility around the ground who can go forward, back and play in the midfield?

No, kouta is one in a million. dont think waite can play any other postition aswell as he plays in the forward. i regard fisher very high since day 1, has good hands. Mark my words, 'next year or two would be the time where everyone knows who fisher is'....

Dale Thomas is out injured with a busted up collar bone apparently..............gonna miss about 4 weeks.

That means that the first 4 picks of last years draft have all had serious (football related) injuries.

Are we asking too much of these kids? :?

No. They set their own standards - that's what makes them top 4 material. They don't shy away from contests and relish the contact. They can't help it if the opposition lifts slightly once they get shown up by a rookie. That's a compliment.

If it's 4 weeks that would mean he would be ready for the first week of the finals, wouldn't it? I would expect him to play finals for the Bullants, assuming he qualifies.

Waite to play in the backline, or one of either Waite or Fisher to be traded. I really think for Waite to thrive in our side, he's going to have to become a utility, more than a permanent forward.

You'd think that potentially he could do Whitnall's job, which would free Whitnall up for a trade to get us that extra top 20 pick we'll miss out on when we beat Hawthorn this week.

Either that, or we just accept a surplus of tallish forwards who'll rotate through the senior team.

Agree.....Waite, Fisher and Whitnall is probably one too many of that 190-192cm 3rd forwards..with Fev and Kennedy in the key spots we need a Nathan Brown/Alan Didak type who is the clever small forward...one of the three has to miss out and probably be sacrificed to get the balance right..

For the umpteenth time forget the notion of Waite being a CHB..anyone who has seen him play there in AFL games, practice games, Bullants etc knows he is terrible in the backline...need to move on people and think of something else.

We need two leading targets from the square
-Fevola
-Waite ..... Purely for the goal kicking ability

Then send Kennedy and Fisher up the forward flanks as targets for the half backs...

People who want us to trade Waite or Fisher are forgeting that Kennedy is not exactly done and dusted just yet. 8)
