Congratulations Jesse.

His sister is a gun footballer too. May give the Western Region Womens Football League B&F a shake as well.

Good to see and you can be pretty sure that he'll get the rest of the season in the seniors, you wouldn't promote someone and then not play them, especially in Round 19.

I would'nt be putting too much money on that one BB2005.

Well done Jesse, he is a great kid with a fantastic attitude.
Deserves an opportunity.

Hope he plays. Perfect game to debut in - we are a chance to win, at the MCG, will be great for him.

The only way to give kids confidence is to play in winning sides and I believe Sunday will be a winning side.

have you not read any of the discussion re HHQ being shut down due to threats of legal action over copyright infringement?

There is absolutely no need to copy a whole article when a link will do, and each hit on carltonfc.com.au brings revenue to the Club.

All fixed up now Heady. :-D Your point very well made though.

Congrats to young Jesse, here's hoping he starts off the bench against the Dawks this weekend. All the best young fella!

Onya Jesse, but you would think this is a test for him.

I guess he's teetering and they're giving him a chance, but this spells doom for Batson.

Batson's inability to get a game for the Bullants seniors spells doom for Batson.

This is awesome news! He has come along way since seeing him with he's arm in a sling during the pre season. We will have one of the best in and under midfields in years to come

Exactly, but this is affirmation for those saying he was worth elevation.

Hell, they might still think otherwise.

Good luck to Jesse. It's great to see a youngster earn a promotion through hardwork. Let's hope he has a good game.

Excellent news.

Pity it wasn't Jacko, but we wanted one of them promoted and we got that so we can't exactly complain.

Now, the big test will be to see if Denis gives him ample game time to prove himself on the field and earn a spot on the list for next year.

I'll be ropable if he is used like Joshie, only to be delisted at seasons end.

I think we probably went with promoting Smith because we have to decide on him at the end of the season as this is his second year on the Rookie List. Ryan Jackson still has another year to go on the Rookie List so there is no real hurry in terms of seeing what he can do. So a pretty logical decision really.

Sounds great. But can we play 2 in our side? What becomes of AB? Who's faster? Who has the better skills?

Rotation.

We've been moaning about not being able to do it for years.

Exactly.

We need a dozen guys we can rotate through the middle, and the coach has to be prepared to do just that.

We already rotate AB & Blackwell. We don't rotate the more senior guys anyway. We prefer to leave the young guys on the bench most of the day. I'm sure if he gets a game he'll spend most of it on the pine.

Doesn't mean Bentick's spot, or Blackwell's for that matter, is in jeopardy.
