Nice try Jarusa.

IMHO the Buzz whilst a mercurial player was not in the same league as a Carlton player as those selected nor others that i propose..

I feel the following deserve to be considered...

Fitzpatrick
Dean
Meldrum
Alvin
Sheldon
Buckley
English
Perovic

All proven with longevity and big game performance!

Ouch.

I knew someone was going to come up with a list that could just about be a straight swap.

Can my 10 be an 18 please? :-D

Have to have Fitzpatrick!!

Not that he would make the top 10 but I just wanted to remind everyone of Fraser Murphy. Every kids favourite player at one time or another!

Cool, this was meant for the heritage round but it did not get on in time, the blog angle seemed to work.

Was a really difficult task and from memory the last player cut was Silvagni.

Looking back probably should have put Fitzpatrick in place of Madden.

Used to have number 7 on my jumper in the eighties so Johnston was the easiest one to pick. :-D I can see the reasons for not including the Buzz, but he really was a personal favourite so objectivity went out the window with that one.

So many good players. Good problem to have as a club having trouble fitting players into a list like this.

Might have to do a 90's and a 70's version down the track.

Not sure what the 00's list will end up looking like? :?

Off the top of my head:

90's: Kernahan, Bradley, Silvagni, Williams, Ratten, Madden, Sexton, Koutoufides, Brown, McKay (damn, I couldn't fit in Peter Dean)

00's: Murphy, Walker, Gibbs/Hansen, Fevola, Kennedy, Simpson, Wiggins (oops)... ;)

Helen D'Amico was barely good enough on exposed form, and the Selectors are willing to wait until she shows something.
