he just talked about his chances of coaching carlton he was trying to play it down but said he had aspirations to be a senior coach one day but needed more time and experience before he could get a job.

he was seen with ahmed fahour (hopefully future premiership president) at germany during the world cup and the callers brought up the possibilty of them two talking about the future at carlton with fahour as presiednt and sos as coach which sos denied again.

brian taylor raised the possibility of sos as coach and spud as assistant coach the two great full-backs.

its still early days but its looking good for us. :-D

The discussion entailed where SOS would like to be an assistant coach next year. The commentators were trying to coerce SOS to say Carlton, but SOS' preference was to learn the caper at another club as his words were 'I know the Carlton way'.

The Fahour-Smorgon-SOS link at the World Cup a couple of months ago did surface, as they were seen chatting in Munich by the Ch 9 crew that did the FS there.

I think the broader plot would be to coach Carlton, but not at least for a year or two. The MMM crew tried to make the link with Fahour and SOS as being future President - Coach combination given the chatter in Munich. Wild guess and trying to put one and one together.

Another interesting revelation they (MMM Crew) brought up was G.Lyon was linked to being an assistant with SOS where ever he ended up with a senior coaching position.

yep that's one way to look good I suppose but I think with Frawley as your assistant your coaching career might be over before you can say Timmy Watson.
