We didn't cave completely. Our first half was inexcusable, but we at least showed enough pride to make a game of it in the second half.

MVP votes for R19 now open:

Indeed.

Well done to Fev for his effort after starting badly.

Matty Lappin can hold his head up high as he was about the only one in amongst it from the get go.

3 of Fevolas goals were as good as you would see.

1)hard on the boundary.Set shot
2)Mid air shot from the pack
3)snap from the boundary across the body

All simply outstanding!

I liked how Fev kept his head high after loosing the plot in the first quarter.

He turned his anger in goals....

In the last couple of years an early defecit like that would have degenerated into a 100+ drubbing... They did well to fight, and, if not for wasted opportunities in front of goal, might have snatched it.

Fev is a god among men... Imagine if he played the whole game, and didn't spend the first quarter lulling Croad into a false sense of security...

Otherwise... I have very mixed feelings about today.

- Fev. Simply fantastic.
- Fish. Presented & marked well. Pity about his missed set shots.
- Carlos. I know he's still a long way off making it, but .... :-D .... there are good signs!!
- Simmo. Great running again.
- Tex. Not at his best today, but still had some telling CLASSY moments late in the game.
- Scotland. Battled hard ALL day.

Q1 was a disaster. Q2 was ordinary Q3 was better Q4 much better.

Look forward to seeing Jesse debut next week!!

was at the game today and unfortunately couldnt find many positives but there were a few that deserve a mention:

fevola- outstanding. worked his way back in to the game and could have 3 nominations for goal of the year, equalled his career best of 8 goals dont think the head knock was too bad listening to the radio after the game. has just about stitched up the coleman.

o'hailpin- very good game today stood tall in defence and started many forward thrusts, broke packs open and caused many spillages i can only remember him having 1 bad kick and apart from that kicked very nicely.

simpson- continued improvement.

fisher- very good hands has a super mark just wish he could improve on his kicking.

stevens and lapin- played pretty solid games. lappin looks much more hungry after his spell in the 2's.

we were able to fight our way back into the game it probably doesnt mean much now but we kept out heads up and fought hard all day and if we are able to come back from behind it will help us in the future when it does matter.

Fev is a champ and lead the team brilliantly...
Lappin kept plugging away but has lost a yard of pace..
Walker battled on well in the 2dn half but was wrongly positioned AGAIN down at the FB line...Williams was a poor matchup early and AW needs to be played up the ground an in the play where he does his best work.
When he plays on good leading players he isnt suited...
Scotland was respectable and his skills held together unlike a lot of his teammates...

FEV!!!!!!!!!!!!

They were saying on Fox Footy that he may have been able to come back but because they rushed the stretcher onto the ground he couldnt come back on because of the 20 minute rule. I guess hell be right for next week. The Coleman medal is all but sewn up.
