Does anyone know the where-abouts of Mark Harvey today? There is talk about that he is in town and he ain't here to visit family and friends.

If talk is true, he is meeting with some Carlton 'people' about taking over from Denis for the 2007 season. :o

The contract pay-out to Denis would be funded 'privately' and thus not affecting the recent cash injection from the AFL.

Is kennyhunter on-line? Perhaps he may know something.

I am not even sure I would like Harvey as coach, although Freo seems to have turned itself around since he arrived.

All I know is that Harvey would never take the role at Richmond... not a fan of spitters

This is from the 3AW rumour file I believe so I wouldn't be dancing on Pagan's grave just yet.

Please be true.

A change is needed, and Harvey would be worthy of an opportunity!

Mark Harvey - Head Coach
Barry Mitchell, SOS, Brett Ratten - Assistant Coaches
:-D

What sort of club are we becoming? Lets payout Pagan a ridiculous amount of money with no guarantee that on field performance will turn around - remember people we need draft picks to become a sucess again and therefore need paitience  .

Potentially leave our playing group in diaray if Denis hasnt actually lost them.

Have every other club in the league wanting blood because all of a sudden poor Carlton can find enough money to sack a coach but still borders on insolvency.

We need a united front as a club and this type of talk will divide us further.

What you you think if you were Barry Mitchell? Busting his gut in the hope that the club he's beed at for about 15 years and maybe arnt to far from turning the corner will maybe one day appoint him senior coach.

This is very 'old school' politics and very common from CFC back in the 80s! The old 'white knights' are always prepared to tip into their own pocket if they have enough $$$$. Hell, I would if I could!!

Re my source, I admit it is second-hand and I am trying to find out who deep throat really is! I could easily bullshit and throw out a name but I won't do that.

Yeah, fair enough kingkerna. I just don't know how to do it! :?

Perhaps Mark Harvey is the bloke to do this. Freo certainly don't take as much shit from opponents as they used to. (Derek Kickett excluded)

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harvey is an overated BOGAN (and extremely overates himself). He believes he is so much smarter than he is (mind you if you hang around Kevin Sheedy's dumb arse long enough you too would perceive yourself to be a Rhodes Scholar type). He had undermined Connelly at Fremantle even before he got there with his comment that he was going over there to change their culture. Absolute wanker who also happens to have a hatred for Carlton.....no way he should even be approached...Anyone who heard his carry on about not being approached to do the Hawthorn job a couple of years ago would know jsut how highly he thinks of himself...

Probably as intelligent as John Barnes.....

Freo seemed to have improved since his arrival and the Freo players interviewed all comment on how good he has been in helping them...
I dont know anything about his coaching abilities so I'll let those who do comment ....is said to be on 400K at Freo..that will make him a pricey senior coach......which wont suit us...
