A bit of a mongrel, which is exactly what we need. I hope he shows it on the park

Ang Christou style?

And who could forget Lindsay? Or lets put it better, who was happy to have forgotten Lindsay until this thread?

Eeer .... shiver

Jarusa, you just spoiled my Friday!

Similaritiews with Hopper not lost as tyhe club email also was reminded of Hopper (seeing as the No. 41 will have a run). ...or was that your doing also.
Happy to see the kid get a run...hope he does get a heap of ground time, which I think he will!
Here's hoping his kicking is better than Hopper's too!
(although he can start with Hoppers record of 1st two kicks = 2 goals)

Is James related to Alan?

James Ezard is Alan's nephew I think. Came from Calder, and currently plays at Port.

IIRC Jeremy Smith was number 41 too.
Played one goal against Bulldogs at Optus, possibly in 95. Kicked a nice goal to the Lygon St end.

I went to school with Jeremy Smith - nice enough bloke, but certainly enjoyed the fame I think... and why wouldn't you! I think his 1 game was in 1992. Had some very nice skills and was super quick (think he ran the hundred in 10.8 at the school sports in year 12)... never really kicked on unfortunately - got injured, and last I heard he was playing in Perth.

Here's hoping that Jess will be the greatest Smith since Mr Copperart!!

disapointing to have been given so little game time. a waste of time to play him in the end. no fault of his own.

but, having said that, when he was on the ground he looked a little lost. yeah, that is to be expected, 1st game and everything, but with denis' track record uve really gotta make every second count. shouldnt be dropped, if he is we are as shit at man management as everyone says.

maybe the number 41 is a cursed number.

Interesting development philosophies.

1. Encourage players to be bold and take risks.

2. Player takes risk, attacks ball, error occurs.

3. Coach drags player for making error.

4. Player is unsure and hesitant at next opportunity.

5. Coach drops player because he is hesitant and unsure.

Clear as mud.

I agree, there's something a bit off about it

Thats why our next coach MUST be Michael Christian
