I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found that really upsetting. I know Denis has show some great faith and paitence with Setanta of late but really, the man behind his Development and the one who should be getting the most credit is Barry Mitchell. And not one @#$%&! mention....................

Pisses me off! Really Pisses me off!

Well done to Setanta - had a great game yesterday and seems to be really enjoying himself out there, which will only help his confidence grow.

This comment by Pagan from the link above sums him up IMHO...

No wonder our disposal is so terrible... not even aiming for it to be perfect...

Sorry, got a bit side-tracked, but I thought Setanta's efforts yesterday showed that he has the making of a very good AFL player considering where has come from, and how much he has improved this year... Keep it up Setanta.

For what it is worth, Garry Lyon just mentioned on 3AW that Setanta is a better footballer than what Jim Stynes was at the same age. Garry Lyon knew Jim Stynes pretty well.

Keep going Setanta. :-D

I had a bit of a chat with Setanta when he was watching the Bullants V Werribee game a few weeks ago. He was very friendly. I paid him a compliment about his game against Essendon* and he just said that he wats to keep training hard.

One word to describe him,"humble".

More positive press on 3AW tonight- given a huge slap by both Garry Lyon and Gerard Healy for his game yesterday, with Lyon stating the Setanta is further developed than Jim Stynes at the same point

Given thats its a slap on the back and its from the segment called slaps and sledges, certainly molsey. And it could certainly be argued that depending who it comes from it is anyway 8)

I suppose this just reassures, not that we don't already know, that Carlos will never die wondering. If he doesn't make it at this level, which is looking less and less FWIW, he and we'll know that he's tried his hardest to get where he is/was.

I just hope he can continue this attitude when he becomes a more natural player. His never say die attitude is perfect for a defender. When his footy brain catches up to his heart and imagination we'll have a fine footballer. 8)
