Someone claiming to be Joffa is over at CSC telling us not to leave early because half way through the last quarter he has surprise for us.

I hope we beat those mongrels.

No pick is worth that humiliation.

Humiliation?

A spoon is transitory - being Joffa is permanent.

Where'd the 40yo grandfather of two get the money for that?

Maybe we could present Taz with a giant blow-up vodka bottle

Some 40 year old toothless guy holding up a big wooden spoon - how humiliating. I will book myself in for some therapy first thing Monday morning, I hope I can go on.

Just close your eyes. Our of sight, out of mind.

Will anyone really talk about the 2006 wooden spoon in 5 years when we are a top four contender again? Does anyone go on and on now about Collingwood's 2 spoons? Not really. Yes, the pain now will hurt. But the picks will enable us to get to where we want to be, at which time the only talk will be Carlton rising from the ashes...no one will be talking about wooden spoons then, not even Joffa.

By the way...he's had to borrow the untesil from Collingwood's trophy cabinet

Hmm...think I just disproved my theory.

Just a tip then, while you're there, don't mention to him that you're a Carlton supporter (nay messiah) who hopes that Carlton lose to Collingwood... there was a time when that would get you locked in a padded cell...

We're either going to win the premiership in about 11 years or disappear completely based on the past 15 wooden spoons, if we end up with it this year:

3 - Carlton, Sydney
2 - Fitzroy
1 - Richmond, Bulldogs, Fremantle, StKilda, Collingwood, Brisbane, Melbourne

Hmmmmm he's a 40 year old huh.

How many premierships do you suppose he's been lucky enough to have seen his feral club win in those 40 years??

I think I'll take the Blues history, thanks Joff :P .

When Joffa sleeps at night he has a sign above his bed - "please dont wake me it only looks like I am a brain dead vegetable".

At the end of the day we have won trophies more recent than them, so they make the finals this year and finish with nothing again.

Eddie's free IT training for Collingwood supporters seems to have worked a treat.

Right up there with the supporter media kit they all seem to have.

It's like a hive mind, of idiots. :P

Don't fall into the trap of looking to the past for glory. For years, Collingwood mired themselves in mediocrity by saying, "we don't care what happens this year, as long as we beat Carlton". Look how far that got them?

Look to the future! All things being well, Collingwood's Permiership window is about to close, and then we will hopefully be closer to a Premiership than them. Bring it on!

I'm all for building for the future and success sooner rather than later. I know this year is gone. I know that finishing last will get us the No 1 pick in the draft. But even knowing all that.....

I hope we absolutely smash Collingwood this Sunday. Not talking about on the scoreboard (though that would be nice too), but thats a little unlikely. I want the guys to come out and play like they do against Melbourne - tackle, chase and harrass every Collingwood player. Hunt in packs. When we tackle them, make it stick, drive them into the turf! Let them know we wont be pushed around! Get into their heads, unsettle them and beat them! Make Sunday the day they remember they played the Blues!

A friend of ours gave us 2 tickets to the game, I have told my wife to take her sister as I can not sit through this one (and I have sat through all home games).

If we loose I will not be able to cope with these stupid Pies supporters throwing spoons at us and carrying on.. (I hate C'Wood the most and cant stand loosing to them).

If we win I will l be pissed off that we lost that extra pick this late in the season and still able to "win" the bloody spoon... (depending on bummers)

End of season can not come quick enough for me...
