Great to read about positive off field stories of Carlton role models.

Nick & his partner are obviously very good people & great role modles for others.

Well done to the Carlton PR machine (for once!)

It is fantastic that Nick and his partner have promoted the caring of those less fortunate.

This caring image can only benefit the club.

I am not a fan of Stevens game, but I do appreciate a person who is a positive role model for society.

We should be proud of Nick and his partner.

I totally agree, Stevens you are a star!

Great idea.

That one day off for the parents every 3 weeks would be fantastic for them, great for the kids to experience more people who care for them and I imagine it would be personally fulfilling for the carers as well. Win-win-win.

I saw the topic and the first thing that came to me was good old Paganite03's, aka Mr Diamond Shield, thread about why Kouta deserves to be paid $1 million a year.

Can we turn this into a trading Stevens thread?

Do they have to have Down's?

I reckon I could do with an extra day off every 3 weeks... :-D

What a great bloke - what a great thing to do. My view of Stevens (limited to what I read in the press and see on the field) have just improved dramatically. What an amazing commitment to follow through on,
M

Good on them. Brings a tear to this old crusty's eye  .

On the anti-pies theme, isn't it great to have NJS in such a positive light the day after the pathetic Taz.

I still can't decide if I want to win sunday or not :? .

Puts things into perspective really, obviously everyone here can get so caught up in the footy and our disappointments - can sometimes forget how much we have and how lucky we are. Great to see Stevo doing such a great thing.

Regardless of what people say, he is a passionate guy and he's passionate about the Carlton Football Club. But lets try and leave footy out of this and just congratulate someone for taking an interest in a life thats not their own. Well done Nick and Megan!

The other reason it's good is a story like this can only increase his trade value.

That is a class act by Stevens and his partner. Good on them, a respect all round to those involved.

But Jon Anderson got it wrong, Stevo is not at the peak of his powers, well, not on the footy field anyway. If he was there would be no trade Stevo banter, it'd be make him Captain banter.

Is Stevo's partner related to Mil?
