Firstly, Carlton played a fantastic 3 quarters of football today. We never stopped running and although we still made a few crucial mistakes, we beat the Pies today, as we performed a much better game and didn't need the umpires help.

I dont say this very often, but the umpiring was the worst I have ever seen, I'm not talking about the Whitnal/Didak incident, because before that, the amount of bullshit free kicks given to the pies directly in front was just a disgrace. How many times was Fevola held int he goal square and not given a free!?
We were robbed and if I was a Collingwood supporter (thank @#$%&! I'm not) I would not be happy with the way they won, but hey we are talking about Magpie fans here.

Simpson was superb, he never stopped running and set up some great opportunities, resulting in goals.
Walker never gave up and tried his guts out.
Kouta held us up.

Didak is a tosser and I hope that he is rubbed out for 3 weeks.

That is what I have to say about it.

GO BLUES, bring on 2007!

When you get beaten by 44 points, you can't lay the blame at the feet of the umpires.

Yes, Goldspink's a dick. Always has been. But the fact is, we aren't good enough yet to beat the likes of Collingwood.

But we will be soon. Remember, we only had one player from our '05 draft picks out there today. And we'll be getting some excellent talent from the '06 draft. Our 'older' kids are getting past the 50 game mark, and are getting better as a result. We don't have any ageing stars to lose who'll peg us back when they retire (Kouta is merely a serviceable player nowadays). And the Irish boys are coming on in leaps and bounds.

We're rising.

Soon, we'll be able to blame the umpires if we don't beat a top 6 opponent. But not just yet.

I say it every week

Agree though. Goldspink is not even worthy of my toe jam.

Really John!? Well I disagree with you. Today... I thought we were good enough to beat the pies. And in my opinion, the umpiring gave the pies momentum and although we didn't need the umpires for 3 quarters, I believe the umpiring damaged our spirits, which resulted in the pies running over us in the end. But that is just my thoughts.

Nah. Teams get dudded by that dick Goldspink every single week. It was just our turn today.

We've got a bunch of kids who can't YET play at the required intensity for 4 quarters. The fact that we stopped dead at 3/4 time wasn't Goldspink's doing - it was just where we currently are on our development curve.

And if a couple of bad umpiring decisions made our guys pack up their playlunch and go home, then you'd seriously delist the lot of them for being the weakest, most mentally soft sportspeople this side of the Pakistan cricket team.

Goldspink's still a tosser though.

Glad that happened ... we could have buggered everything up because we wernt vigilant... a victory over Collingwood all of a sudden seemed very important.

A win would have buggered us up ..we still would have had the same problem.. lack of talent.

It kind of reminds me of the bloke who has a peanut allergy... a very bad peanut allergy.
... He physically swells up and has trouble breathing if he eatsa peanut.

he has to be very very careful.....
he cant go out to eat and he cant buy any processed food... in case he eats any traces...... so he is vigilant ...he has to be to keep alive//
this habitual vigilance is abandoned in a night of passion night of passion with his g/f.....he licks away like a dog on a plate of custard... and he decides in his passion to get all kinky and stuff so he flips her over and begins licking her bum....all of a sudden he gets shortness of breath and begins bloating.. he knows whats happening its an allergy attack....

she is a vegan and shes been eating nuts...which have by this time found their way to her bum....traces of toxins have been left behind..and now he is going to suffer.. brought back to life by a hit of adrenalin awakens him to how easy it is if youre not focused on what is good for you long term before any short term pleasures...

Close call....!!!

Goldspink saved us from the bum lick to hades...

But i doubt we were good enough anyway... we had a couple of senior passengers again.

the kids were fantastic... and we need more of them.

We got stung badly by the umpires today.
The umpire gave them a comeback. Most the collingwood fans near me were embarrassed at the way it was going.

I would like to trade pick 17 for never having umpire 17 and 32 ump our games again.

It ws a joke. All the collingwood fans on the train on the way home were saying how crap their own team is realising if it wasnt for the umps inspiring them in the second they probably would have remained as crap as they were in the first.

We one the footy they won the gamesmanship.

Piss off Collingwood.

......and how is that front runner Didak. They will never win a flag with him and/or Rooca in the side.

Still as we get better we wont fold like that when things conspire against us.

Gutted.

GO Blues !

they wont win a premiership because they dont have enough quality players.... and to get quality players you need picks.

which goes back to how lucky we were to not put our tongues there.....

Also Rocca might be shit but he totally shitted on the 'All Australian CHB'...

I thought Lances best period was when he had the band aid around his head... when he threw it away he became a mortal again...

Lance with bandage = Samson with long hair.

I reckon Lance should play with a bandage all the time..

Loved how he just knew Simmo was going to beat 2 Collingwood players for the ball and had allowed his man to run up the ground making perfect space for himself for Simmos pass after the hard ball get.

Is that the brains or the bandage???

I think that was the bandage cos it didnt happen without the bandage earlier on or later.. but he still had the brains....

Just watched the first half on fox and i somewhat agree with marissa.
in that we gifted them 3 goals from stupid turnovers in our back 50 and there were 3 from stupid free kicks. fev also was robbed of a goal in the 1st.
dont think that the scoreline truly reflected how well we played. good for the tanking side of things, but bad cause i wanted to win.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

The umpires did give Collingwood a comeback...

Why directly after we kicked a goal, we were given a free kick, that we had to take in the centre square...
But the free kick given directly after Collingwood's goal, Didak got to kick it directly in front of goal!?

Goldspinks a tosser, Didak's a tosser and Holland is a tosser. :)

This just in -

People are saying there's a man around here who is rapt that Rocca beat Whitnal, and even happier that we lost to Collingwood.

Allegedly he is a Carlton supporter.

yep not much to add really goldspink is a @#$%&! of the highest order but then again he always hates us anyway

Anyway we saw some good scoring we played 3 good quarters and i am sure the result may have been diifferent if we where fighting for the 8

on the positive side the pies are crap and umpires helped them lots today

T Cloke maybe out of action fairly and hopefully didak gets 2-3 to stuff up there finals run

And Jordon babister throws a nice right hander on the that scum holland lol

Darren Goldspink is a tosspot of the highest order, he has hated Carlton and torched us consistently for as long as I can remember.

But this complete flower has done us a great service by umpiring us completely out of the game with his umpire led hi-jinx in the second quarter.

We will remember the extra player we drafted in the top 20 of the 2006 National Draft long after Darren Goldspink is dead and buried and a rotting corpse in a probably unmarked and uncared for grave.

Didak is a good footballer and exactly what we need...smart goalkicker who punishes you every time he gets it....Scotland got nailed but Didak got the Pies going....good players change games regardless of tactics.

We lost because we were not good enough but THEY WERE DISGRACEFUL and Goldspink shocking but not schmitt the other new guy was the one that gave them the 3 goals in a row and totally lost control
Didak can really play but hopefully with extra points from last time will miss the only final the pies will play -arent that good the pies flat track bullies - not going to win premiership and had all the luck and decisions go their way
