McGrath for me.

Even though he's lost a yard or two of pace, he's shown he can still put the ball in the right spot and trouble the best batsmen in the world

Confidence can make a huge difference, maybe Sporn has just found some?

Humpers. I believe Johnno slotted right into league football. No 5 years apprenticeship with the dominator.

He did have a top game but i doubt he can save himself on that one game, surely now we know the kids are the future and although he isn't that old, we know what he is capable of and we would be better off letting him go to another team. He is one of those guys who is too good for VFL but finds it hard in the AFL, would be a good pick up for the ants.

but the dominators apprenticeship was done in the VFA with Prahan.. similar, I suppose to the "apprenticeship" Sporn has done in our reserves/VFL affiliate.

Dominator didn't come to Carlton till he was about 22 or something (???)

But what if he plays a blinder in Sydney, gets 35 touches and towels up Jude Bolton... would THAT be enough to change our thinking?

No.....

Contracts will be the only thing that will save a few of those.

I'd still delist him. Enough of the crap, we must get rid of dead wood.

Does Davies still go into the club during the week and stuff?

Anyone who reckons Sporn doesn't need a good haircut is just kidding themsleves. Survive the chop … ha! I think not. He looks like Philip Seymour Hoffman in Boogie Nights … not that there's anything wrong with that.

Remember Luke Livingston 2004... against the bombers, saved his position...

Hmm where is he now??

I have no faith in Sporn progressing as a footballer... Delist him (Or Trade)...

Amazing what minutes can do... although I still think it's too late.

Yeh I was a little concerned about which chop he was in line to get. Didn't think it had much to do with playing footy.

I think he would definitely go before McGrath and Bannister, who have both played some good footy this year. It really depends how many picks we plan on using in the draft. I would think certainties are:
Livingston
Davies
Longmuir
Prendergast
Chambers
Teague (if no contractual issues)

and adding to that will be one of Sporn, Bryan and Deluca

That would be 6 picks in the national draft and a PSD pick....what the club plans to do with Smith also probably becomes an issue

I don't see why Teague, Deluca and Saddington are brought up all the time. Aren't they all contracted? Does anybody think this club can afford to throw away money?

The only way I see it happening is if we are struggling to pay the minimum under the cap and we pay out some guys to get us up there and to clear a space on the list.

He played well early when he played ON THE BALL. Got quick clearences out, ran, created, kicked goals.

He brought his VFL form into the seniors, because he played in the same position he played in the VFL.

I believe he ended the game on half-back when the 'woods were all over us.

So, after all this time... It turns out he really is a midfielder. Not a utility...

Get Sheedy interested - he loves his bloodlines, and he's related to Keiran Sporn, isn't he?

Also, I fully expect Bryan to be traded. DeLuca is a favourite of the Coach's and he and McLaren have contracts, no? I think Bryan has shown just enough for another club to punt on him...
