Oh, and isn't it interesting how Collingwood's fortunes seem to be aligned to their key big man in Rocca?

And how the Saints find form when Kossie is back - and somehow can cover for Lenny Hayes?

How Brisbane turned to shit when they lost Lynch and (through injury) Jon Brown?

How Sydney moved heaven and Earth to get Barry Hall into the Grand Final? And what a difference he makes to their structure?

How Hawthorn are looking like a far more formidable outfit now that Franklin and Roughead are finding their feet at AFL level?

IF YOU GET A CHANCE TO SNARE A FREAKISHLY TALENTED KPP, YOU DO IT!!!

We're not drafting to win the flag in '07. We should draft with the next two drafts in mind - because we're two drafts away from assembling a killer outfit. We should get what we need over the next two years.

And you can bet your arse there'll be at least one, maybe two mids in next year's draft as good as Murphy or Griffen or Cooney or Deledio or Gibbs. Let's get our mid then. And let's get the KPP FREAK while we can.

I think Blue Vain was querying Pendlebury being named among the key-position players. I actually rate Pendlebury quite highly. My opinion on a player does not change just because of the club that he ends up with even if it is the scum, or is that filth? :?

What we should be filthy on is the Board falling over themselves to get the money from the AFL and not kicking up enough of a fuss about the removal of the Priority Pick at the start of the first round.

We have been torched big time and its almost equivalent to Black Friday 2002 - we should be welcoming 2 of the following players Gibbs, Gumbleton or Hansen with our picks of 1 and 3.

It is a @#$%&! disgrace - that we are going to win 7 games in 2 years to be only rewarded with Picks 1, 17 & 18.

Electric Blue said a few months ago that whoever came last would take Gibbs. He's well connected in the club you know. Since he said that my mind has been at ease. We finish last we take Gibbs, we finish second last we take Hansen. Case closed guys... move on and stop thinking about it.

Personally, I have no idea. But Mojo31 reckons he's the most talented KPP for his age he's seen. Doesn't sound too bad to me.

With Murphy and Gibbs... we'd only need 1 more player to complete the triumpvirate.....

Does Jim Jess have any sons? or Dannyboy?

(yes I know I used this joke already but no one responded and it was slightly different)

That's right you heard it hear first!

Well it was written in the paper about a month ago "Pagan had his heart set on Gibbs, but then he saw Hansen play".

I'd be interested in knowing who has the final call.

Hughesy or Pagan?

Obviously Pagan can and probably does weigh in very heavily on the decision - but I was under the impression that Hughesy has the final call.

Can anyone clarify that?

Do you own a dog and bark yourself. :?:

Why would the club pay WH to be recruiting manager, have him fly to every corner of Australia countless times throughout the year, watch 100's of hours of video, interview 100's of kids and their parents, to then have DP make the final call. It makes no sense at all. DP is not Sheedy.

IF a Midfielder, KPP and Ruckman couldn't be split on footy talent, then it makes sense to ask the coach which one he thinks he needs the most in his team.

If it came down to the point as to whether DP though the team would be better suited in the future with a short or tall, then there would obviously be discussion. But once that decision about which way to go is made then it is WH's call as to which player best fits the requirements.

If we are talking about picking 'The best player' and there is a clear distinction between the best and the next few then the majority of Recruiters would say...'Go with the best'.

If you ever get to know WH you will soon realise he is nobody's 'Yes Man'.

Regards Cazzesman
