Agree that Holland went down a bit too late after Banno's contact, but I still reckon Bannister will get one.

We've got a bunch of kids who can't YET play at the required intensity for 4 quarters. The fact that we stopped dead at 3/4 time wasn't Goldspink's doing - it was just where we currently are on our development curve.

And if a couple of bad umpiring decisions made our guys pack up their playlunch and go home, then you'd seriously delist the lot of them for being the weakest, most mentally soft sportspeople this side of the Pakistan cricket team.

I remember that hit. Banks couldn't have done it any better (again, I wish it was the other way around). Just look at the difference between rugby league and afl. The Storm and Raiders had a fair dinkum pub brawl the other night. A few got sin binned for 10 minutes and that is all. I say bring back the biff. For something like that to be reportable shows how soft the game has become.
The bump rule is a farce.
Players are worried about jumping off the ground which is resulting in more head clashes.
Far more dangerous.
