Hints of Blues sunshine
Quote:
They have kicked 12 goals or more in each of the past six rounds and have scored more goals than Hawthorn and the Kangaroos for the year.

Is that a good thing to outscore two bottom four sides?

Essendon* have outscored us without Lloyd and Hird being available for selection for a total of 27 rounds.

They're still more damaging than our young forwards Fisher, Waite and Kennedy.
Quote:
The Blues know you can't take $1.5m from the AFL and repackage it as a golden handshake to a departing coach.

Quote:
This board has got to look beyond the ladder and let the football department get on with the job.

If the directors must get involved in on-field issues they should carry a resolution that the club use its first three draft choices -- No's 1, 17 and 18 -- on youth.

Quote:
Only three wins and a draw, yet seven of the 17 losses have fallen in the range of 1-20 points. The Blues also have led at three-quarter time in seven of the losses, a sign of both young legs and a general lack of self-belief.

Who's responsible for that lack of self belief with other young sides finding a way to win?

Nice read that. I've thought we are on the up for a while now, it's nice to see other people seeing it too.

Hopefully we'll see more of this leading up to the new season and encourage some more members to join up in '07.

Young legs?
How about an inability to recognise the bench as an integral part of intra game recovery?
Whilst our opponents rotate their midfielders and give them designated rests, we use our bench to hide players.

Mainly those young legs Mike talks about.

That was a piece of crap. If Pagan or his manager want to send a message to the board they should do it themselves - not through Sheahan. I've had enough of people playing Carlton politics in the press.

Last thing we want is Mikey jumping on board.

Fev is the best, Thornton has played some of his best games this year, Simpson is dependable now and more exciting than Stevens, Walker is becoming consistent and Murphy was almost our best midfielder for about 3 weeks there....I am far calmer now about our future because these young players are providing some stability and consistency.

I'm not saying i'm happy but I have a resolve now which I havn't had for 3 yrs....

If we can trade with a bit of purpose it would make my day......

Some of the comments on this site absolutely stagger me  . Only happy when it rains.

For flowers sake, get up and enjoy the prospects we have before us rather than constantly crapping in your own nest

You're all a @#$%&! disgrace to the navy blue!!

Come on Duke... how can you hate on Pagan if you recognise progress

And of course we've got a lack of self belief... we've lost 35 of our last 43 starts... which is what we need to do isn't it?

It's Pagan's fault if we win because we're not playing for picks.

It's Pagan's fault we can't win because we've got no self belief.

Perhaps our next coach should be :garthp:
