As well he might, having not made the GF side.....nevertheless; a very popular and great personality around the Club in two different stints of 1988-92 and 1994-97.

Shame about the 2 losses. Why oh why did they have to be to the 2 worst teams that year? And it wasn't like we just lost them either....

Rhino always reminded me of Vic Reeves.

I'm so dizzy my head is spinning...

I thought it might have been a bit of pie that Warbs dropped on his record way back when!

BTW, cool pic Warbs. I loved the Rhino.

Golly - looking at that group nearly eleven years on brings the memories flooding back. Some of the greatest players in our history right there, and even the weak(er) links in the chain really delivered.

I know this sort of quality collection of players is all but impossible to assemble in modern football, but it really does ram home just how far we've fallen, how much the game has changed, and how slow we were to adapt.

One thing is for certain - I plead guilty to taking wins and success for granted in those days, but the past years have been humbling to say the least, and I never will again. May our club do the same when (and it IS a matter of when) we return to the top.

That team would destroy any team this year, regardless of how much the game has changed!
