What are we aspiring to be? For me the most tangible aspiration is the $.

The what?

"what is 3-5 year revenue target? e.g build revenues from $18M p.a to +$30M p.a? (note that the pies are now at $40M). Right now revenues will drive cash flow and profit.

The how?
the business plan and footy plan to get us there?

What sort of culture will you be promoting and instilling at the club - both on-field & off-field?

Every person employed at the club has to have stretch performance accountabilities based on their role - they need to be measurable and rewarded, if proven successful.

Will you explore an alternative and more vibrant and marketable 'alternative' guernsey for the players to wear at designated away games next season?

What value proposition do you intend on bringing to the Carlton Football Club?

This is one on behalf of the CFC.com.au volunteers we have on here...

While carltonfc.com.au has slightly improved it's image this year, how would you further improve the internet media communications?

I think the most import thing they need to do is to have an actual plan, and to communicate it in an consistent and accessible manner to members and sponsors.

The current board came in they told us they were working to a plan. Who's ever seen it? what are the key components of it? what were their deliverables? are we ahead or behind? Why are we more in debt than when they arrived?

So in other words, if the new ticket has cashola, and are going to pay our debts out, that's fine, but they should tell us that.

If it's going to take 5 years to be debt free if we achieve goals X,Y,Z, then that's fine too, but they should tell us what they think X,Y&Z are and how they plan to go about acheiving them.

List strategy. If we're going tank for 2 years like the Hawks, fine, tell us. If we're not, how soon do they plan to get us playing finals.

Coaching strategy. If they're going to sack Pagan, how will they go about replace him? what will they look for in the new coach.

So on so forth. Really it's not rocket science. It' good that you asked Ockam, but really if you've spent any time on this board whatsoever you should have a feel for the sort of things people are looking for.

But if I had to sum it up in two words for you it would be transparancy and vision.

When Mark Maclure was interviewed for a seat on the board with this lot he asked "whats your plan?"

Board.."What do you mean plan??"

Maclure "See ya later!!!"

I want plans... a blue print to what were trying to do.... like Maclure did.

The two most successful and sustainable administrations appear to be Adelaide and west Coast.

Can we benchmark against them and discover the gaps.

Having discovered the gaps what can we do to fill them?

What are the structural impediments to filling some of these gaps?

What structurally can we do better than Adelaide and West coast that they can't replicate.

If there are gaps that are impossible to fill, and they have a permanent structural advantage, how are we going to articulate that to the AFL so that they can justify giving us no strings attached assistance.

Someone once told me that to be successful you watch what successful people do and copy them.

The whole problem is that maclure asked have you a plan. They said no he said oh i will give them a plan oh no i cannot do that it is all to hard i cannot think of a plan myself this is what the plan should be. It is all to hard. Another gutless wanker who as much as he was a carlton champion should have given something to a group who oviously have no idea but are willing to have a go. And all they get is a heap of shit put on them.Maclure should shut his mouth or give the board some direction if he is such an expert and bags us in the media , what chance do we have.
Synbad as much as you like to stir shit and you have a lot of sheep that will follow you and iknow that you are not dumb as i have gathered. pity some of the others and i repeat others have no idea on what is going on with the posts.

Give us a proper suggestion as to what we should do when seeing as no one will take on the board because they are not up to it or just want to stir shit for something to do.

Shut up about pagan. Pagan is not the problem. What is the problem??? Start winning games and the problems will be solved and with the list we have we will struggle . Half these guys are donkeys not players. Marc Murphy can play and that happens with having talent. Not coaching.Pagan is the best coach we can have at the moment so stop making me want to puch.

While I agree with many of your sentiments, you know you are speaking the the anti Pagan choir. They want his blood, and no other argument will convince them otherwise.

Danny boy i totally agree but no one else will step up to the plate. We thought that this board, when they stitched up elliott was the right way to go at the time (which had to happen) but no one else will do the job until we start winning and then they will all want to join the bandwagon.

As far as i am concerned those carlton people who bag the club in the media are doing more damage to the club than the board are.

If they are so good why do they do nothing about the situation. Think about it they should put up or shut up.

Any ideas

So Maclure didnt have a plan and they didnt either.. and im stirring shit????
But Maclure knew he might not have a plan and they dont have a plan so he didnt bother about it....

But why do they bother if they dont have a plan???

whats the point if they have no plan???

At least Maclure hasnt been meant to be working on one for FOUR YEARS!!!!

Im not stirring shit.. im kind of like an unnofficial ombudsman..is he accused of stirring shit???

Unless people keep them on their toes.. we are doomed!!!.. so go and spin your 'web' elsewhere...!!!
