"Sheldon, a triple Carlton premiership player who ended his playing career with St Kilda, has been touted as heading the Saints' football department" Quoted in some paper today.

Why doesn't Sheldon have a spot at Carlton?? I know its possisble that we may have his son on our list in the near future, but surely One Sheldon if not two would /could be a good thing for our Club.

Does not anyone at Carlton respect Ken Sheldon enough to uterlise his experience and knowledge.

I personally have always been a fan of Kennys and i believe he has a great deal to offer.

Your thoughts ??? :-D

Well maybe not all is lost - he might do the right thing by the blues and put a push in for Pagan as coach at the aints !

Which is good for him, but why has his name not ever been mentioned with any "Football" role at Carlton?

Did Ken Sheldon play over 100 games at the aints? I thought it was less than that, meaning that he's ineligible to be drafted under the F/S rule!!

Ken is first of all a Carlton man. My sister in law knows him well and I have met him a few times. Great guy and the blues are his no. 1 club. Has helped the club as MC at functions.

But if the Aints offer him a great job - why shouldn't he take it.

Sheldon was on SEN days before Thomas as sacked and was asked his opinion on Stkildas list and prospects as well as Collingwoods....he refused to comment on Stkilda but gave opinions on Collingwood.
Anthony Hudson had an idea that Sheldon was getting a job down there but I also think its apparent that Sheldon knew Thomas was going..apparently Thomas knew about Sheldon joining the football dept before he was chopped..

Sheldon would have been a good get for us, knows his footy and is a lateral thinker...not sure Denis would have appreciated him though...like Mitchell he would be seen as a threat...Elshaugh and Libba were never that and I think Denis liked it that way..

You see this is the point we have good people available and we just don't get them..

Paganism is not what our club needs it needs to be proactive in getting the best available people off the park and the best avail on the park.

The sooner Pagan decides to let go of his old ways, the better we'll be.

"Denis relax mate you can have people with opinions and ideas around you. You can still be the boss but it doesn't mean you know everything and you should be more accepting of personal challenges, yes Denis all the time becomes boring, and predictable"

Good Luck Kenny , we'll see you back in a few years i hope...

I spoke to simpon Wilson QC about getting a guy like sheldon on board on the footy dept before the season started.. he said
"Unfortunately we dont have the money to do that even though a few of us would love him to "

So we sign Kouta up another year and pay him 150k outide of the salary cap because were worried about Dirty Dave and the publicity were getting....

Look!!!.. my info is theyre going to take the AFL on for the lost pick... Nothing under receiving it and stealing Goddard is good enough for these blokes to stay on the board now...

The club WILL push ahead for the pick...

Im not sure it has what it takes to lure Goddard... though in their position they have to leave no stone unturned.. to reclaim any credibility after what they did to their credibility last week....

How they go about the next couyple of months is a huge test for this board ... or theyre really gone!!!... imo

Why would we want Goddard? Just give us another pick in this draft.

Every club in the competition benefited by one place in the draft when we lost the pick so now they will all be worse off by one pick.

Ok, I didn't realise he's out of contract.

We should be throwing 400x3 years at him. Even 450x2 years if he walks for free.
