SOS does whats good for SOS.

Great player... but... you dont get ALL of your ex team mates off side for no reason.

Dont know why... dont know how... but he was a respected player by the players but not popular...

Terry Daniher thinks Denis wants him to stay on.

Maybe CFC has announced it but the likes of Shehan. Caro and Smith see it as a positive story so it doesn't get printed. :!: :?:

I agree with Synners on SOS. Respected player but not really one of the boys.

And adding to that, I hope he communicates to the players better away from the camera. On channel 10 I can't understand a bloody word!! Talk about tongue tied.

Terry isnt a threat...thats probably why....
Pay Denis out and start a proper process that rebuilds the football dept in the correct manner instead of political wheeling and dealing doing it....

What about Libba? What has been his input since arriving at the club?

Sweet f#@$ all would be my guess.

You would think he may have added a bit of mongrel into our players but, apart from Heath "I wanna be a fireman" Scotland and Fev we have no real tough nuts in the side.

Perhaps we could recruit some of those Armed Robbery Squad guys from Vic Police. They could coach our backline to be more than rock solid!!

I am guessing if Brown and Co get their way then DP, Libba and TD are G A W N...........GAAAAAAAAAAAAAWN.

If we take Gardiner, I'd say they'll be hanging around anyway.

Should this thread be removed as it's starting to piss me off that he hasn't signed up yet.

I'm starting to hate SOS because of this and I'm sure it is not his fault.

Sweet f#@$ all would be my guess.

...put a lot of extra time into Eddie over the Christmas break last year.

Wouldn't mind him staying on in some kind of player mentor/welfare officer type of role.

I'd keep Terry.

I know Pagan recieves alot of credit for the turn-around of Fevola.......but honestly, when Pagan got to the club he had little choice but to keep Fev, cause he had nothing else anyway.

Pagan has used him in a 'Carey' type roll and, while it has worked at times, other times Fev can get a bit frustrated - and rightly so when you have three defenders on you and players just bomb it inside 50 and expect you to take a mark. Hence the reason we have games like StKilda where we can only muster up 4 goals.

I'm thinking TD has had a big hand in Fev's brialliant season and i'm hoping he's working with Kennedy on 'Contested' work.

Plus, when TD was at Collingwood he had the Rocca/Tarrant formation working beautifully. Since he left, it has fallen to pieces (injury has played it's part though!)

Fev as a FF with Kennedy progressing as a true CHF next season is gonna be alot of fun to watch and honestly i just don't trust Pagan to really utilise those two!

Keep TD

Piss of Libba.

Guy McKena, if he misses out on the Saints job, should be contacted! Just to see if he's interested.

Barry Mitchell should stay on.

It would be nice if Fev could give as much credit to TD as he reserves for DP.

Perhaps Fev knows where the credit is deserved.

Has anyone noted the ironic capitalisation of the nickname

SOS

Surely this is a call for help?!

Whether or not it will be help is another thing. Do we need two '95 champions arguing with DP in the coaching box?

Maybe his missus & kids deserve most of the credit

Good point. Like most things we know a lot more looking in from the outisde.

Fev wouldn't really know who'd had the biggest influence on his turnaround.

Having seen training a fair bit this year, apart from his missus and kids, the credit for fevs turnaround MUST go to TD. Fev really spends no time with denis on the track and TD pushes him harder than i have seen anyone work at a training session anywhere. TD has been a pivotal person in turning Fev into the Coleman medallist.

As far as SOS goes...i think it is a good move. on a few conditions...
1. i dont want SOS sitting in the coaches box sniping. We don't need dissention in the ranks, we need unity and support. If that isnt going to happen, fact of the matter is, Denis is still head coach, so while he has the head job (he he he he) respect his position.

2. i don't want SOS being a yes man. While he should respect Denis' position the same should also be said for Denis' respecting the full back of the century. SOS has been appointed to have an opinion and that should be taken into consideration.

3. SOS is given sole responsibility for the backline. That way we can find out if he really has what it takes to coach.

Why has Fev turned it around?

Age

No, not The Age...but maturity and responsibility. Would Fev perform for another coach? Yes, if they treated him the same way, Denis just found the right way to push Fev's buttons. It's not rocket science.
