A mate of mine is a Geelong supporter and he has always maintained this fact. According to him the offer to join Sydney was $100k, Geelong were offering him $45k and he asked for $50k. Geelong refused.

If being prepared to play for half the Sydney offer and then leaving when Geelong wouldn't come to the party makes him a mercenary...then a mercenery he is.

Diesel was/is a very driven individual who has never taken a short step in footy or in business.

This episode is still eating at him, and he obviously needs to finally do something concrete about it so he can move on.

Whatever we think of this action; it's his decision to make, right or wrong.

Personally; I think he should just let it go....but that's me.
