Just for fun.

Say the CFC board was given access to a bank account containing $4 million and told they had 3 months to spend the entire amount (without re-investing it elsewhere) before access was denied.

Considering the current state of the club, how should they spend/use it ?

Creating state-of-the-art training facilities.

Investing in the recruiting dept.- surely this area would be a high priority considering that on-field and off-field success is ultimately generated by the kids that are drafted.

Update the Carlton logo and brand -- with an associated media campaign pushing the Carlton 'brand'.

I would GIVE memberships to those members who had been members of 2003 2004 and 2005 who hadn't renewed their memberships for 2006.

The conditions would be that you would have to have been a member for at least 2 consecutive years during that period, and not in 06. The memberships would be a base-level Silver membership (not SC, not to the level you had previously), and if you wanted to go back to Gold, or SC membership, you would have to pay any extra.

With the membership packages, the first thousand to renew would get tickets and return flights and accommodation (flights with the team where possible) to one interstate away match.

It would give us a big bump in membership numbers, which would hopefully sell some positives to the press, sponsors, etc.

How much would you allocate to each of those titimus?

What are your priorities?

Better to catch the tram and save the $27.

We're in no position to go blowing cash on cab fares at the moment.
