Perv!

Cheryl just tapped Denis on the shoulder and gave the final approval to make him captain.

In saying that we will be there in 2 years, Brendon (and also many of those here) might not realise the truth of the words that he just uttered.

I still reckon you can't captain from FF .. OK so Sticks did it for all that time but the best place for captain is midfield ..

So, who can name the last Carlton player to win the Grand Final Sprint?

Who can name the last winner who was given a ludicrous head-start?

Yes, but that hasn't answered my question.

How do you define "ludicrous head-start" then you prick?

Having your testicles that far ahead of the rest of the field.

How did he bluff his way to such a big handicap? He actually ran away from them!! No way anyone made up any ground.

Actually since 2003, when Carlton actually started rebuilding, we have had a number of minor achievements despite our poor ladder position, we have never since 2004 actually had nothing at all to show for an AFL season.

Consider :

In 2004, we won 10 games with a bunch of rejects, which was in So retrospect an admirable achievement, especially considering that in 2007 it is likely that very few if any of these players will be in our senior team.

In 2005 we won the wizzer cup.

In 2006, we won the Colemen medal and the GF sprint.

So if we all look beyond our current miseries we will see that unlike other empty handed cellar dwellers of past years, Carlton has never really been in a situation where we have won nothing at all in the season since our proper rebuilding with young players actually began - which was in 2004.

This is despite our obvious very poor standing in the league ladder since this time.

To those that study these things, this is actually represents a future sign, and is a portent of what will inevitably come in the future.

Blues supporters should be take heart of the fact that these signs will inevitably lead to greater glories in years to come.
