The only one that leaves the door open for is Gumbleton really...

He doesn't sell me on Gibbs. Certainly a fan, and believes he will make the grade (as do I), but very quick to throw more names into the hat.

Interestingly...he kept referring to Gibbs as 'Bryce', while using surnames for the others.

Anything to be read into that? Or am I falling for the 'what the thinker thinks, the prover proves' syndrome??

He was a huge wrap for Gibbs though...said he'd seen alot of him over the last 2 years.

Said also that Leuenberger couldn't have had a better finish to the season, and was BOG in the GF.

Of cours, he was never going to conciously give anything away. Just as last year they never publicly committed to Murphy.

KB presented the "midfielders would have to be the priority" argument (not specifically about Carlton, but more about AFL in general), and WH swatted it back straight away mentioning the 'big' 3 (Berger, Hansen & Gumby) and their versatility.

Maybe the repetitive sprint tests will sort them out. :P

Re Fantasia comments re Gibbs;
- they can say what they want - CFC will create the environment for a player to want to stay for entire career despite being interstater;

It was reported in the papers [IWRITP - Trademark DUC 8) ] that the AFL has sent Adelaide a please explain on Fantasia's comments - Ando felt that Fantasia's comments may be misconstrued as Draft tampering.

i don;t really mind who we choose at pick 1 - tough to get it wrong this year. I am sure Gibbs, Hansen, Gumbleton will all be good players.

hughesy will earn his money this year with pick 17, 19, 35. They will make or break the list.

Tend to agree with others..we will be taking Bryce...Gibbs will be overlooked but Bryce will be NO 1.....had the feeling he would take Luenberger if he had the second pick as well ....

Why, how high are they expected to go in the Draft?

Seemed pretty obvious that Fantasia was actually draft tampering by opening his mouth - wise arse.

Is Caz going to have a look at that International Kids carnival they've got on up here at the moment? It's just down the road from the draft camp. You never know what might pop up. The first South African or Kiwi international rookie maybe ...

I think the biggest thing that can be taken from the interview was WH mentioned we'd take 4 or 5 kids, which gives us an idea of how the list will shape up over the next couple of months

Damien Cupdio already has one of those titles. ;)

You'd hope it would be 5 young picks with 5 pick in the first 51. You'd also hope that a decent youngish player would be picked up in the PSD, plus one or two rookie promotions. That's around 7 or 8 delistings. I'll be very disappointed if it's not 8, the best way to turn around the on field performance is to keep turning over the list until we find the kids we need.

Spot on as usual, sticks. We HAVE to get it right this year, especially after missing out on the %$#%^$ early PP. We have to take very single advantage we get on other clubs to try and peg them back.

Here's hoping.

I think if we only chose four, or even five, kids in this draft we would be short changing our selves. I'm getting that uneasy feeling again. :(
