hey, dont misunderstand me guys

i am a big fan of russell, reckon he is a real talent and would love to see him play 200 games for the club as i do think, with time, he will be a quality footballer.

however, if he wants to return home, then a player like Deluca isnt such a horrible proposition to me.

if he stays with us, great, i will be happy

if he moves on and we get Deluca in return and he turns out to be a good ruckmen - great, awesome.

either way im happy :-D

Hopefully he thinks we want to free up Russell's guernsey number. Obviously it went to the wrong person.

After reading what 1AW's old man said earlier today I'm not confident we'll hold him either. It went pretty much unnoticed but it was a definite shot across the bows.

I read it more of a statement that he hoped that when AW's time came next year things went much smoother than Thornton...more like Fisher's negotiation.

Let's not beat every molehill into a mountain...we'll be exhausted from climbing them before the trade week is finished. 8)

We have more than Russell's signature riding on this if we let Thornton, Russell and perhaps Bower go cheaply.

I don't think The Berger King would care what Russel does :-D

I'm not big on the stressing. I figure I've got no say in what happens anyway. That was just one comment that caught my eye and made me have a think. The context (remember DOA said he wouldn't be on here until new season had started) makes me think there was a little something to think about. I'm sure we've got it all in hand though.

If Tex was a holidayer and we were the back streets of Bangkok, we "love him long time"

The fewer DeLucas at carlton the better. At least Michael Sexton was decent when we got his brother. Same goes with David Kernahan. Scott Spalding wasnt Earls brother but he was crap too. Shane Whitnall anyone?

I spoke to tex a few weeks ago- I asked him what he made of the whole Pagan situation..
"Hes given me 42 (forgot exact figure*)games for the Carlton Football Club- how can I be disenchanted?"
Quality bloke and potential leader..
