In previous years on Talking Carlton, and before that, the Blue View, we've been privy to some pretty good gossip in trade week.

Who could forget Synbad bringing us all the deals in trade week 2003? Or even his efforts last year as he watched the Club wax and wane between keeping Lance and getting rid of Lance, or keeping Fev and getting rid of Fev.

Others have also kept us in the loop, and it has all been greatly appreciated.

But this year, I've had to log onto the Blue View to see that Electric Blue has given us a 90 per cent chance of getting Polak in the PSD. And Synbad has been quiet as a mouse. There are the usual tidings from Dr Sherrin, and a few others, but overall we seem to have lost our inside info status. Hell, I've even had to log onto Big Footy! (Where by the way there is a press release currently circulating saying that Jordan Russell has officially quit Carlton - grain of salt? Who knows?)

So Synbad, and EB - I've loved your work over the last few trade weeks. Please, please, please share anything you have with us. You've gotta keep me away from Big Footy!

Maybe it's because there's nothing to report?

As some get closer to the club Molly, I think they weigh up what and when to post.

Or maybe the Leaky Sneakers have been thrown in the trash.

They've all been sworn to secrecy. They don't want word of what the club is calling The Great Judd Heist of 2006 to get out too early.

As I told Molsey this morning - I wish i had something, because this week drags on longer than most. I think that unless you've got access to those involved in trade proceedings (Pagan / Williams etc) then you have Buckley's chance of getting access to any 'inside' info.

The best I can give you is Chris Pelchen's e-mail address:

chrisp@hawthornfc.com.au

Also - did you know there is a hawthorn footy club womens' supporters group called the 'ThornBirds' ? I kid you not.
