Successful forum but a club full of sneaky leakers...

Strange that Pagan suddenly rates ruckmen...

Dear Wayne Hughes

Its me. Little Ty. You may remember my letters. Well, the good news is I should be out of the iron lung in a few weeks and the doctor says my I should be back on my feet playing footy for next season, if my liver regenerates itself in time.

Please please please pick Gibbs, Mr Hughes. Please don't listen to that mean old Mr Pagan. Sometimes I think he's a very bad man, Mr Hughes. And that makes me cry. The doctors say that every tear could extend my time in traction for an extra week, and my eyes might never work again.

You don't want that to happen now do you, Mr Hughes?

Your friend and Carlton supporter for life
Ty
PS I've been saving my money for you to afford to pay for Gibbs' contract, Mr Hughes. My mummy put it into a cheque for me. Iv'e included this cheque for $1.2mill in the envelope, Mr Hughes. I hope it, and this letter, finds you well

Is that an argument for or against Gibbs? :?

Dear Wayne,

there comes a precious moment in a man's life when he can stand up for what he truly believes in. A moment when the sun shine just so, catches the edges of his masculine jaw to define the strength of character, the force of will reflecting like steel in his granite eyes, a moment to be treasured, to ignore the whines of the masses, to ignore the shouts of the would-be puppet masters, a time, a moment, an instant.

Yours is coming Wayne

your time
and its time
its Hansen time!

My thoughts were made very clear on what I think of Thornton. I still stand by my comments that he is at best in a good side the person for the third tall.

However I will happily take back my comments about him essentially being a dog if he comes out in public and dumps his manager for missrepresenting him or at least says his manager handled the negotiotians badly , otherwise I dont trust the prick. Our club is greater than any individual.

Awesome news!!

If T-Bird was leaving and he was worth a first round pick and now he's staying...it's almost like having 2 first round picks!!!

Great to have it resolved so quickly...

...now we can concentrate on securing the best available player in the PSD.

Exactly, now we are in the box seat for Jordan Russell also, saying we will pick him up in the PSD. We need to show teams like Hawthorn and Port and anyother that we no longer bend over.

If you do draft Gibbs, does anyone think we would give him a 3-4 year contract straight up. It would make sense. This I am sure could be done as Brisbane offerred a 5 year contract to Murph last year.

Our Club needs to think outside the square on these matters and protect themselves. Just like I hope we move early to secure Murph, Kennedy, Bower and Walker early next year. Or even now.............. Does anyone from inside the club know the stand on these matters ?

Good news Bretski.

I thought you were foolish in your actions and obviously blinded by the Hawthorn rhetoric. I'm glad you came to your senses when you saw that Hawthorn had priced you at $1 mil but considered you less valuable than a spotty 17 year old kid.

I'll admit your actions got to me and I thought you a dog; but let's let bygones be bygones and get on with the game. You are truly a Carlton champion, your name will be on a locker soon and I shall never besmirch your reputation ever again.

Unless you try the same shit next time.

It will be interesting to see how Thornton performs under the microscope next year. Not only has he alienated alot of Carlton supporters who will be expecting him to prove he was worth all the drama and anguish. But the wider football community will be looking in to see what all the fuss was about. I hope he has thick skin because he will be in for alot of criticism I feel. People who formerly confused him with Trent Sporn certainly know who he is now.

Credit to the club for standing firm and have reaped the rewards with Thornton re-signing and to me its the first real turning point I have seen for a while...
re: Gibbs...while being in the Hansen camp I would prefer to see Gibbs chosen than Leunberger and I am confident Hughes and the board will select Gibbs and overide Pagan on this one....I dont think you can deny the supporters a new messiah in Gibbs and his selection will help supporter morale and give the club a kickstart....

What can I say, F#^K YOU HAWTHORN AND F#^K YOU PELCHEN YOU F#^KING PIECE OF SH!T!!!!!

Ahh, that's better... :-D

And lucky for Carlton that this has worked out this way but for f#^ks sake learn how to list manage better and not have these type of player disputes occuring in trade week when we should be devoting our time and energy on pursuing new talent. That's 2 trade weeks in a row that we have been preoccupied on keeping existing players instead of acquiring new ones
