Its a prime position for anyone with ambition.

Now all we need is stellar man management to keep all the egos in check. :)

Anyone ever thought of outsourcing from the NFL? Surely there'd be some interested parties somewhere... they deal with this crap for 3/4 of the year on an unfathomable scale.

Yes I know I seem to be leaning on the NFL of late, but there's a lot to be learnt from it.

Never saw him as becoming assistant coach.

As sound as the argument might be re: AC job at Carlton being a great opportunity, it's predicated on the fact that it seems that Carlton are allowing Denis to hire his AC's.

Whenever this is allowed, we won't be getting those ambitious people. Put simply, any people with ambition Denis won't hire because they're too much of a threat to his job.

Thats what its about Jim.
Sydney had Jonas, Lyon and Longmire in 2005 and they did ok.

You want ambitious people because they strive to be their best. Creating a culture of loyalty is just a part of the equation.
If someones ego gets out of check, the correct structures havent been implemented.

I have to admit, I am not entirely happy with the Crosisca selection but lets wait and see on the other selections.

Am I the only one who thinks that Pagan is incorrigible. After all he went through a couple of weeks ago, narrowly missing on getting the kyber, he has the f%$#ing nerve to replace one YES man with another YES man and we are all supposed to wear it. Newsflash Gavin-don't get too comfortable

As much as I love Ratts, what possible role could the 2 of them fill Fevolution?
Ratten maybe a midfield coach but what for Bradley?
Golf coach?

We need the best possible people, whether they be from Carlton or Williamstown.
Bringing in people because they are past Carlton people is the domain of incompetent boards, lets not let that transfer to the MC.

How many clubs these days have senior coaches that were appointed from within....I would think Craig and Roos are the only ones

Agree completely. Would be happy have Ratten, his rep from when he was at Melbourne was excellent.

But we also need assistants from other clubs with new ideas.

I thought it was in Pagan's contract that he could nominate one of his assistants? And maybe Crosisca could be good, I'm not sure how many TCers are experts on his coaching capabilities. We also have two more assistants to put inplace. Let's hope one of them is a good tactical thinker.

The OLD CARLTON were forthright, direct, unambiguous and resolute in their endeavours, no matter who's feet they tread on and no matter what collateral damage they left behind
The NEW CARLTON are a dysfunctional charity organisation. Here Sydney, we'll donate Ross Lyon to you, here West Coast, we don't see any benefit keeping Woosha so you can have him back, here Saints, you can have the Walls, Sheldon and Parkin triumvirate to assist you find the most suitable coach for today. Meanwhile, we're stuck with Denis PAymeaGAiN who himself is stuck in the fire and brimstone 80s/90/s with two lucky flags to hang his hat on. Carlton did him a favour in 99 killing off the Bombers and Sydney did him a favour in 96 killing off those same hideous losers.
We need one massive metaphorical N bomb through that club so that we can start again at our own ground zero. What does someone else think?

A bit extreme... but i agree with putting the broom through the place.

Im not Sure Parkin and Walls have alot to offer a club.. part of our problem is Parkin.

I think you might be pre empting something about to happen too.. or i might be reading between the lines and writing my own book.

But right at this moment............ its is a case of watch this space.

Te frightening thing is Denis is surrounding imself with yesterdays men.
We must have the oldest team of coaches of any club.

But the irony is that football has changed so much even since Denis has been at the club .. and much more rapidly than the ten years before that.
The days of getting blokes to have the belief that if they can run and crash through brick walls they WILL win are over.

Now its all about tactics and intricacies.

Denis is a million miles behind any other coach when it comes to that.

You cant replace Trout with Trout but only taller... thats the most stupid thing i have ever heard of happening at a club like ours...

Absolutely ridiculous and totally irresponsible end negligent.
