Next trade week we'll offer Trent Sporn for Danyle Pearce - take it or we'll get him in the PSD.

I doubt Russell will be a superstar like Murph or Tex, but I think he has the potential to be a real workhorse type like a Scotty Burns who will get in there and get it done with a minimum of flash or fuss.

We need those types as much as we need the superstars.

Scott Burns? JR has far more talent and upside. Russell reminds me of Embley. Obviously not anywhere as good yet, but remember Embley struggled with the pace and physicality of the game after breaking into the team at 17. A 3-4 of years later, and with a developed 6'2 body, skills and big motor embley took the next step. Im hoping Russell can do the same.

No idea Jaydee but I know Grant and Co are working very hard to get him to stay. They spoke to him every day last week via the phone and explained all the pros and cons. CFC is certainly not giving up on him without a fight.

Hope they mentioned the expected "life-span" of the coach.

My info is that Port only offered players that were to be delisted and then offered their 4th round pick 55.

Jordan is home sick, his girlfriend is in SA and he has close familt ties however he is still expected to sign on.

Like Cazz I also think he needs time, will be 20yrs old next month. JR performed poorly with the ANts against Frankston in the finals however bounced back well and was one of our better players the week after in our big loss against Sandy.

JR needs confidence and a mentor, may be Craig Bradley can become his mentor

JR is the right size, has good skills and heaps of pace. Not a lost cause just yet.

Sounds like they thought it was time to pay us back for Stevens. Though that was between them & Collingwood- we just happened to benefit from it.

Good to see he's staying.
Port can go sit with Hawthorn in the corner.
