Well done to all involved in getting signatures locked away.

Just shows...
Club handles this as well as, and most likely better than it could've been done.
Well done to all involved, club, Malouf, Williams, and players....also going for two (and three) year rather than an "I'm not sure one year"...(remember the two year contract puts everything back in the clubs hands)

Well done to the Wiggler also...hope he has a further gear also.
This time last year a poster was buying beers for everyone if the club didn't delist him....we should've followed the clubs example and stuck to our guns...imagine what odds we could've gotten on a two-year contract renewal

Let me join the chorus. Great News! :-D

We do need to address how all this happened in the first place, but the issue is resolved, and that is great.

Lets hope he earns a game rather than just being played because he was pick 9.

I second that! Does anyone know if Tenace is out of contract?

We would love someone with his pace at the club.

Please ensure all HFC players are signed to contracts prior to PSD 2006.

Otherwise we will be distributing straws to all members of the HFC Board and you will be required to live up to your name.

Best Regards,

Am I the only one who thinks Wiggo is not worth a contract of this nature?
IMHO Wiggo is not AFL standard and a one year deal is generous let alone two FFS. Remember our B&F winner Teague -will we ever learn.

Nope. Maybe we can use him as trade next year though.

I don't think Wiggo is worth 2 years either. Oh well, we need to keep someone to delist in the next couple of years when our young players are up and coming.

He was ok at times this year, but he has had enough chances I reckon.

I think you are being pretty unfair to Wiggins. He turned his career around this year and with his leading and marking ability is a useful - and I'm sure very cheap (relatively), hard working player to fill that horrible void we currently have moving the ball from defence to the F50.

http://www.blueseum.org/cfc/tiki-index. ... %20wiggins

Add a fit Fisher and Waite and maybe Pagan's 2006 Plan has enough marking ability to improve our F50 entries?

You need hard working foot soldiers to take the hits and make the play and I think he'll do that. Maybe he'll struggle for a game this year but then again he has some good attributes, including leadership, that the Blues need.

Even though I like Wiggo Id've only given him 1 year. Yes he settled a bit more this year but is still very much a fringe player imo.

Tbird & JR really didn't have much choice but stay. Hope there hearts are in it
:?

Absolutely wrapped that Blackers is stitched up. My tip is 'most improved player' for 2007. :-D

Wiggins made huge strides this year IMO. Well done to the lad for his new 2 year contract.
