:?:

One of his problems was his in between size. If they're so interested why wasn't he traded?

They more then likely tried.

I agree with only 1 of these delistings

36 T Sporn

Good fkkn riddance

But 21 T Longmuir? I mean, didn't we just sign him? I don't personally remember anything from him, to be honest. And in that same vein, when are they going to delist 9 J Saddington?!

Only if eight Years and only 73 games qualifies one for life membership!

Cut the sentiment and emotion already. Those three have had more than enough chances in Carlton's worst team of the last 50 years. It's time to move on. Bring on the National Draft

A draft pick that people are disappointed in = quality drat pick ..

Quality drat pick = 36 T Sporn

(You watch him do well at Adelaide .. b@st@rd)

How can you call 78 games over 8 years "more than enough chances"?

And I would suggest this was the worst team ever, just quietly .. the only team to win the spoon .. twice!

It's not all about trampling over the corpses to get to the prize 99. I think it shows the class of those on this board to respect these guys as human beings who, despite not quite being up to standard still gave us the odd moment of sheer joy and pride.

Delisting Prenda and Sporny is very different to the previous delistings of guys like Harford, Clarke, Johnson etc who were only at the club 1 or 2 seasons. Prenda and Sporn have been around for quite some time, and many can still remember watching them kick off the dew with the reserves etc way back when they were newly arrived at the club.

You can look ahead and still have room for sentiment IMO.

Thanks Ponkstar. My sentiments too.

They were chosen to play for us not the other way around. They did not hold the club to ransom. They did their best, and can hold their head high.

Bad luck for them they didn't have SOS, Kerna, Duke and Sexton down the spine, with linkmen like Bradley and Brown, and an engine room run by Diesel Williams and Brown, fed by Harry Madden......

The Funny thing is that when these guys came to the club, everyone was thinking they would be great, like they saying about Last year draft, now Beasy,Wiggins,Livingston,Campbell and Sporn are all gone, well not Wiggins.

I am unable to understand why you would want to retain players that have been in the system for a long time and have failed to make their mark.

The hard fact is that the bottom 20 - 25 percent of the list is culled in any one year.

We have to do this just to have a chance of staying level with other teams in the competition, let alone moving ahead...

Can anyone confirm or deny that Livo and Chambers have been given their marching orders from CFC?

no, but i get the feeling we will hear it today or next week along with at least 1 more for now, possibly Jordan Bannister as his name has been linked on radio.

That would make it 7,i reckon and possibly another 2 will go,to make it 9 if we sign the rookies.

I could only see us using 5 picks in the draft and 1 in the PSD and recruiting 1 or 2 rookies, possibly 3 if they need Asaike to play already, but unlikely.I don't think Jesse D. Smith will get promoted after getting drop so quick.

I reckon 8 changes.

8 changes this year with another six next year to set up 08 would be right. Ity will be interesting to see if the new coaching structure and the fact that DP will be fighting for his life translates to any dramatic improvements.

As far as I am aware we have to delist 3 players before October 31st, but we there is no need to announce the rest yet. So it might take a while for the other payers to be announced.
