Livingston is a hack.

to think we lost Hamil for this guy.
oh the humanity...

See molsey, they might be picking the eyes out of the superdraft.

Fingers crossed though, it hasn't happened yet, the other 3 or 4 have not been delisted yet. Would have been nice to have another pick in the top 20, but ...

There goes the other Kerang boy. Shame Livo never lived up to his draft ranking, but nothing is guaranteed in this life.

All the best Livo and Cory.

Do we blame Livo for being Pick 4, or do we blame those that drafted him at 4 for putting that stigma on him.

Given our recent years I hoped he had least got some more games, but still the decision based on rebuilding the club, and satisfying supporter / membership base is starting too begin.

Lets hope they pay out a Saddington or Teague and draft well.

I'd like to see 3 of Chambers, Davies, Teague, Bannister and Saddington go.

I reckon Saddington is on good money, and based on the fact that we have to pay his salary this year I reckon he'll stay.

Two rookie upgrades and an extra draft pick would round out a nice selection.

I must admit, I'm surprised that McGrath is gone, I liked the way he went about it and thought that he could be a hardened body in the 22 at times next year to protect the kids. Oh well, I won't lose any sleep over it.

Congratulations to those that have played senior footy and thanks for your efforts in the Navy Blue.

If they were to be delisted they would be counted in the salary cap for 2007. Saddington may retire...who knows.

We get a couple of replacements and their salary, albeit minimal, would also be included.

I'd rather keep those 2 and all contracted players and use the moner we would have wasted on the delisting to sign up some of the kids that remain uncontracted, or increase the offers to existing with early contract renewals.

Chambers, Davies and Bryan are the likely next 3 in order (if there are 3 more delistings)

My expected delistings included all that have been executed and the 3 abovementioned. That gives us the opportunity to promote a couple of rookies and/or 2 players in the PSD/ more new quality kids.

If we have spare money in the cap next year, lets give Murphy a hugely front ended contract to sign for 5 years!!!!! Like year one $700K then $200K Pa for the next 4

Deluca, Adrian
Edwards, Jake
Fevola, Brendan
Fisher, Bradley
Flint, Craig - R
Hartlett, Adam
Houlihan, Ryan
Jackson, Ryan - R
Kennedy, Josh
Koutoufides, Anthony - V
Lappin, Matthew - V
McLaren, Dylan
Murphy, Marc
O'Hailpin, Aisake - R
O'Hailpin, Setanta
Raso, Anthony
Russell, Jordan
Saddington, Jason
Scotland, Heath
Simpson, Kade
Stevens, Nick
Teague, David - D
Thornton, Bret
Waite, Jarrad
Walker, Andrew
Whitnall, Lance
Wiggins, Simon

R - rookie listed
V - eligible for veteran listing
D - probable delisting

My theory: Those marked for delisting get the chop and Flint and Jacko score a promotion.

6 ND picks (1, 17, 19, 35, 51, 67), 1 PSD pick & up to 4 rookies.

That or Flint stays on the rookie list for one more ND pick (83)

Put Lappins V next to Lance and thats about right I reckon.

Lance too young. Lappin hasn't been a Blue for 10 years. Kouta's the only qualified veteran on the list.

I thought you only had to have given 10 years service to be on the vets list.

We had that problem with Kouta and the year he went on due to when he turned 30, I think we had optimistically factored it in too. So unless it has been changed since............

Is Lappin eligible for the veterans list?

I thought you had to play 10 seasons at 1 club. :?

(oops - looks like this has been covered)

McGrath's lack of skill and decision making cost him in the end IMO. You can't have players running off half back and turning it over all the time.

GET OVER IT!

The majority of you guys (me included) have bagged the living sh#t out of the playing list this year. Finally we are seeing some of the deadwood being cut away and some people start getting a little teary.

I say bugger off to all those that have been given the arse. Its good to see the broom finally going through the joint.

Prenda - should have stuck to the athletic track
Longmuir - wish we recruited the other one
Sporn - laughing stock (and not just because of his hairstyle)
Livo - biggest waste of pick 4 ever seen
McGrath - Essendon* hack

Now all we need to do is axe Chambers, Davies, DeLuca (maybe keep cos Frenchy has gone), Saddington and Teague.

Good call. Mcgrath turned the ball over to the extent that he became one of the oppositions most damaging players. Someone pls tell me what the bloke who recruited Livo saw in him to waste pick 4. I cant believe mobile would have been one of the words used in the assessment.

Just checked the A.F.L CBA and you have to be 30 and have spent 10 years at your current club.

I guess Kouta is the only 1 that qualifies.

============================

What humble and successful people both "Baggers" & "Anfield" must be.

Both Luke & Cory guys gave their all for the Blues - they were never going to be in our best, but when they were needed each of them did their best.

Thank-you to both Cory & Luke for doing all that you could to make the Blues a better place. Both of you added to the Blues off field structure in a huge way.

The time has come to move on but that doesn't diminish the fact that each of you tried your best. You each played more games for our beloved Blues than either Baggers or Anfield could ever dream of doing :x

Regards
Ockham

Perhaps they are just being pragmatic and delisting the out of contract ones. In the grand scheme of things does it really matter if Mcgrath is delisted this season, and Teague next season, or vice versa?

If we are really rebuilding they will delist the lot of them and we will wear the cost of Teague's, Deluca's and Saddo's contracts. With Gibbs to come in, and Russell virtually guaranteed game time after almost leaving, and Jackson and Bower to kick on ... none of the potential delistee will get game time next year.
