Hope you're not going to have a go at mjonc DOA, because he doesn't seem like that type of person.

With that in mind, let it rip. :D

It often made me wonder Rob....

I used to bring this up a bit over at CSC about how I couldn't say boo to fellow posters but they were allowed to call our players all the horrible so and so's under the sun...It was always a reply of "But that's different".

Anyway!

I tell you what I know.

WBY played for St Arnaud U16s and in a premiership. But he was no good. just lucky.

WBY played for Centrals in Mt Newman, WA. He'd hardened up by this stage and got a few scalps, but the reality was he was more interested in grog and chicks (the health nurse comes to mind) than physical fitness.

WBY played for Moonambel in about 1983/4 the year they folded. He was definately shit. Too pissed to stand - and that was before some games. He thought if Trapper Chisholm could play like that, well why couldn't he.

WBY thought he was ho shit playing for journo's versus media at RMIT friendlys. But he was broken down and, well, yeah a hack. Managed a few cheap scalpl. Blood seemed better than a kick when he couldn't get one.

Truth be known. He was a hack. Questionable social manners and perhaps only one redeeming feature. He fitted in with the boys after a match sinking cold cans. Of whatever.

There, I've kicked it off. Is that the spirit DOA :-D

I was coaxed out of retirement, (hadn't played since U14's) to help make up the numbers for the Shepp reserves. I wrecked my little finger in my final game, the bone was poking out and everything.
I did receive a trophy that season though which was cold comfort seeing as my pinky won't straighten properly any more.

DOA, pity for JR, he slid down to number 2 on my favourites list. A bit like the way you think I've misread JR, you have misread me.

Maybe you read all the posts of mine of JR to get the full picture of my support for the kid. I may not be "in" on all that happened, but i'm sure it couldn't of been that serious for him to move back home or the club would of done everything in its power to make it happen.

I'm glad he decided to stay, as I've said a million times, I see the talent in the kid and he will be a star in the Ryan Griffin mould IMO.

Now if you think I'm a faceless coward, setup the time and I'll talk to JR directly and give him an insight to what a passionate supporter of his felt during trade week.

If you ever played Tatura in Tatura I would have seen you play. I was only a little tacker then so I wouldn't just been yelling 'chewy on yer boot'.

Keith Warburton Coached Tatura after he left Carlton; and his son Peter played for Tatura too.
