DOA, pity for JR, he slid down to number 2 on my favourites list. A bit like the way you think I've misread JR, you have misread me.

Maybe you read all the posts of mine of JR to get the full picture of my support for the kid. I may not be "in" on all that happened, but i'm sure it couldn't of been that serious for him to move back home or the club would of done everything in its power to make it happen.

I'm glad he decided to stay, as I've said a million times, I see the talent in the kid and he will be a star in the Ryan Griffin mould IMO.

Now if you think I'm a faceless coward, setup the time and I'll talk to JR directly and give him an insight to what a passionate supporter of his felt during trade week.

i dont...i think hes pox....but i dont give a @#$%&! what anyone thinks about my opinions coz they are my opinions.

I was coaxed out of retirement, (hadn't played since U14's) to help make up the numbers for the Shepp reserves. I wrecked my little finger in my final game, the bone was poking out and everything.
I did receive a trophy that season though which was cold comfort seeing as my pinky won't straighten properly any more.

That sounds absolutely horrific Woj!

All class IS,your considered opinions are now on the WWW(and congratulations).
TC posters can now stop and consider,is this what TC was designed for,or is it be a forum to support ,and provide genuine information sharing,or god forbid,go the the same direction as Big Footy?
Easy choice huh?

I know where you are coming from DOA... I've never questioned people's right to dislike or criticise players...I've done it myself. But I do constantly question the way in which people do it. And I have appealed to posters not to turn us into an imitation of Big Footy.

Still, You must agree that your viewpoint is pretty skewed to one way, given your unique position. 8)

But in a democratic society everyone does have a right to their opinion. And footy is a very emotive game, and will engender emotive responses.

I still thought you were inviting us all out to dinner. :P

And tommi...that sounds great...except for the portable toilets..and you didn't mention hot showers?

I think I can happily claim to be the shittest footballer on these boards.

I was the next big thing playing full forward for Braybrook under 13's in 1987. Kinda like how John Candy, Ricky May and Chris Farley were once the next big things :-D

Viewpoint is never skewed, hated player bagging as a kid spectator(refer to earlier posts).

I think this forum can support the constructive criticism of players, it's part of discussing the club. I occasionly point out weaknesses when I think they're within the player's realm of control to improve - like Whitnal and Steven's weight, but this is offset by how much I stick up for and support our players in other situations.... last thursday night I was livid that we had signed Ackland, by Friday I was defending him to the hilt and rubbing saints fans noses in it. I am against bagging JR because I think he hasn't had enough opportunity to prove himself and he always looks like he's giving 100%, we chose him at pick 9, he didn't sell himself as a top 10 pick.

fair point DOA i think shit canning players and bagging out is not right though i confess i prob have done on a limited occasion but i do belive in constructive comment and believe that is a better approach overall and i was a bit dissappointed about how JR was bagged when he was looking at going back to Port as i really dont think he was at fault but more the Club had let him down.

I do confess to being quite negative to Campo and wont change my opinion there but i do believe players shoud be given praise or constructive comment as a discussion point.

But i agree with you sentiments
