O.K folks, only 1 of these guys promoted to the list, who do you pick. There still a chance another will be drafted if we delist one more,i'm hoping it's David Teague even thou contracted but has no hope in playing AFL next year, might as well be Captain of the Bullants, because he had some games to prove himself and really struggled, while a few people here back Chris Bryan and Justin Davies,if his back ok could still be turned around, just look at Simon Wiggins, one more year will not kill us,remembering another 7 or 8 will go next season,no point of picking a player in the 60s,who will struggle in the VFL league in 2 years.

My Pick goes to Craig Flint promoted

My vote goes to Jacko.

I like both of them, both are good talents.

Only reason I went for Jacko is because Jacko had an awsome end to his season. He was playing well in the Ants and got the call up for his 1st game and looked miles ahead of Smith. Touch wood, he wont get hurt, he gets to have a full pre-season and with him playing his 1st game in round 22 and then being promoted, hopefully this will give him a huge boost for the pre-season and really make a go of being part of the 22 come round 1.

Flint, got an unlucky injury at the end of the season and may have set him back a lil. Not sure if his pre-seaon will be upset, but he is a good talent and will get his turn. Let him take as much time as he needs to get his foot right and then hopefully by mid-season he is ready to get the nod if we have players on the LTI list.

I want both as well. Flint reminds me of a young Ben Hart. Jacko is just a star!!

There's no facility available for me to vote (that happens a lot...or it's just me).

I'd like to promote both in a perfect world, but if it is a choice of only one then I'd go for Jackson for the midfield. It's a tricky one, because I thought that Flint was ahead of Bower before he was injured.

I'm assuming we will take the rare commodity of quality bigmen in either Leuenberger or Hansen at pick 1, hence why we should promote a midfielder; and a good one at that.

I don't agree that in this superdraft a player in the 60's is going to be ineffective. The first 30 selections will be beauties (if we get it right). If we don't get it right in the first 3 rounds with every pick, then I would hedge my bets and go for another 1-2 later in this draft.

I'd also leave contracted players contracted and not muck around with the saleary draft, given our vulnerability with 15 players coming out of contract in 2007.

Davies for me is OUT, and has been for the last 2 years. He doesn't have the right temperament for an AFL footballer imo.

So we've got selections

1........for French..........NEW kid.....CHB/Ruck
17......for Livo..............NEW kid.....Midfielder/ Ruck
19......for Longmuir.......NEW kid.....Midfielder
35......for Chambers.....NEW kid......Midfielder
51......for Prenders.......NEW kid......Midfielder
67......for Sporn...........NEW kid......Ruck
80......for Mcgrath....... for Ackland (ruck)
81......for Davies and promote Jacksonmidfielder

Rookie 1...for Smith.....NEW kid......Midfielder
Rookie 2...for Batson...NEW kid.......KP
Rookie 3...for Jackson...................23 yo ruckman

If DeLuca does leave, then Bryan would stay on a one year contract, but I'd rather his position taken up by an rookie ruckman from the WAFL (Griffith).

Go the NEW Blues Brigade of 2007.

I think the website just knows there is no way you could manage your full response in just a poll vote bondi.

It does look like we'll be picking fairly deep in this years draft. Which is great, our high picks from the last few years look like they'll form a nucleus going forward, but they'll need support from other players coming through, and there is some value even at the bottom of the draft.

Assuming one of #1 or #17 is used for a ruckman, Deluca retires and Bryan is given another year. The above would give us Ackland, McLaren, Bryan, Aisake, #1/#17 draftee ruckman, #67 draftee ruckman, #3 rookie pick ruckman. That's 7 ruck men on the list. Too many. There aren't even 7 ruck spots available between Carlton, Bullants and Bullants reserves. That'd mean that our lowest ranked ruckman wouldn't even get a chance to develop without injuries. I don't think that's tenable.

Unless we get rid of both Deluca and Bryan, we can really only fit 2 more ruckmen maximum on the list. Our problem hasn't been the quantity of ruckmen on the list, just the quality. Ideally we'd have 4 ruckmen on the list, 2 mature, 2 developing. 44 players on the list, 2 ruckmen in a team of 22, so 4 on the list. Maybe sneak in an extra rookie due to ruckmen taking longer to mature. More than that isn't great from a long term perspective.
