Another good decision from the club to promote Flint, Ryan Jackson is a tad unlucky not to be joining him.

It's shame - always thought he could make it. Good luck with his back injury. Hope that's taken care of because you tend to carry them for life.

Well, 17 years later and I am still restricted. And I got mine before back injuries became common.
I'm sorry Davies had to be delisted, but it was inevitable after his injury.

Good news re Flint. I don't think we will be disappointed.
It is also just a matter of time before Aisake and Jacko join him on the main list.

The best part of that article is about Sam Sheldon. Based on reports he would be good value next year with more development as a Father/Son pick :-D  .

Also congrats to Flint forthe promotion :-D

Great news on Flint.
From what I've seen his defensive skills are pretty good and as well he provides run and attack out of defence.
Teague, Saddington, Bannister and Bryan are very lucky boys to remain on the list. If they were at any club they would have been delisted by now. Hoping that our kids will get plenty of time in the seniors next year to develop leaving these guys to finish their careers in the seconds.

Whats just as good (given draftees get two year deals), is there are a few names there for removal next year:

I know harsh this early, but that's the worry with delisting 8 players etc, is having some players being able to be delisted next season.

eg

Saddington
Teague
Bryan (?)
Mclaren (?)

Kouta - retiring

If you get my drift - good step for the blues this draft period.

There's another list lodgement before the National Draft so DeLuca with one or two others might still not be safe. As it stands we have 6 picks in the national and 1 in the preseason. I don't know if that is deep enough for such a strong draft.

I would say good-bye to Teague now that Flint is promoted.
Bryan I would keep for another year, especially if DeLuca doesn't go on.

Sad day for Davies and I wish him well.
Its not pleasant to see players delisted but he's had every opportunity to prove himself.
As for Craig Flint, great news. Its the evolution of the Carlton Football Club. Players come, players go but the future is still exciting.
We're back on level pegging with everyone else.

Apparently Flint is now 192cm.....

Hopefully there is a little more growth to come yet :)

I just hope he gets some decent gametime......

And the Pre-Season draft pick is already allocated for Ackland. Leaves us 6 picks in the ND.

We have finally picked a few players that have actually grown after we have selected them:

- Josh Kennedy 195cm when selected now 198cm
- Craig Flint 188cm when selected now 192cm

Unlike Vance, Massie, Chatfield etc - whom we hoped would grow into KPPS.

So with another list lodgement left before the ND, is there a possibility that Jackson could still be promoted to the senior list or has the date for rookie elevation been reached already?
