Beano I don't know how you can compare the Aussies complaining about being swamped by ground invaders to the Irish complaints last year.

No he didnt, he f****d up for the swans and was dropped, but came back, lost weight and got some very important goals for them, he also played well on Friday night, and therein lies the tale, Davis knew what had to be done, did it and got on with it, Fev knew what had to be dont, got drunk and had a row,

though someone mentioned earlier, tehy would do the same if refused drink, I would do it to if i ws refused Drink in Galway, party capital of the Island, you guys would love it, ye should organise a TC tour, i'll organise an Int rules game, then we can all go on the rip, no fights though, drink or not, you Aussies are too rough for us wee Irish lads

STATEMENT 1
That f#$%ing Kevin Sneaky deliberately left him out just to piss him off. Apparently he could not contain his disappointment at the jumper ceremony
STATEMENT 2
We cannot excuse what he did so, "Fev, you f@#$ed up BIG TIME"
STATEMENT 3
A little deviation from the path of righteousnous didn't do Ben Cousins any harm last year. In fact, using my analogous theory, Fev will be called up by Lance to hold the premiership cup aloft on that last Saturday in September
I'm already looking forward to beating the Swans by a point

Shit form by Fev.
Just when he's getting his shit together and getting some respect back in the AFL, he goes and does this.

Going to have to work very hard to get that respect back form his peers.

Probably cost himself the captaincy as well.

Obvious equations...

Fevola - Alcohol = Great Footballer

Fevola + Alcohol = Bad Drunk

As long as he stays off the piss he's fine (like all this season) but the minute he goes near it, he's out of control.

Anyone remember last year's best and fairest for instance?

could not care any less about this. does anybody know exactly what happened? not at this stage, so as for all of this, who gives a shit.

its a mickey mouse game that we bend over backwards to play for some reason. why dont they bring out the oval ball and the KPP for one game a year....we wouldnt lose by 6 or whatever points, wed win by about 30 goals.

I can see a huge media contingent at the airport awaiting to talk to Fev.

Wonder if the club will take any action, or make any media statements!!!!

None of us know exactly what happened yet... but why would Fev's get sent home if he hadn't of done anything wrong!? Where would they get the stories from if he was innocent!?
IMO he has just [REDACTED] up his chances of becoming the next Carlton captain, he is a fool!

I am really digusted at a number of things here.

Firstly to those that have somehow yet again managed to bag Lance again - go and buy yourselves a @#$%&! Hawthorn membership - you arnt supporters of this club.

Secondly to those that have crucified Fev - we dont know what happened - we dont know what stance Sheedy and Co took, ie no tolerance - lets at least hear what Fev says.

Third and finally - Nick Davis is from the Southern Sydney Suburbs regardless of where he may live now - not East or West not North and he would be rightly offended to be lumped in the Easty bucket :P

I haven't read the previous 6 pages & don't intend to.

It was an end of season junket.

Lots of players on the Irish tours in the past have behaved badly. Fev's timing is bad.

Fev stepped over the line. Silly boy.

Won't be Captain - but so what.

He is still in our best few & will be out to prove himself even more next year.

Bring it on -another Coleman & successful year is what we want & Brendan will help us to get there.

regards
Ockham

No Big Deal.

What annoys me is that we know not much about the incident:bugger all in fact.

What? Allegedly an incident in a nightclub...not a church...shit happens in those places...especially for celebreties...sitting ducks. For a start it was a stupid decsision to condone players attending this venue Sheedy, Demetriou and others responsible for the welfare of our best players.

What if this story unfolds as the truth:

Fev is having a good time and having a few drinks, like everone else.
A bloke who is renowned as a bit of a stirrer, has a go at Fev.
Fev stirs a few words back in gest.
The bloke takes a swing at Fev as a payback for last year's violent acts by Johnson on one of their own.
Fev doesn't want to get into a fight and restrains the culprit in a headlock as a safety measure.
Nightclub security come in and back one of their own, and grab and blame Fev the Aussie.
None of Fev's Aussie team mates stick up for him and watch this unfold.
Fev's left on his own, whilst the foreign legion of players look on.
AFL have previously demanded a need to step up security for the players but none are around to protect Fev or anyone; they're drinking too.
AFL leave the players in a foreign land to fend for themselves without reasonable/ any security measures.

If that was the case, I wouldn't be hanging Fevola.

I would be asking where his mates were and where was the AFL's security personnel to look after the cream of the country's talent?

I'm glad he's left a country where he is susceptible to violence and has no one to protect him; the best goalkicker in the land.

Fev = scapegoat? No one knows, so stop the hysteria until you know what REALLY happened. He's one of ours remember.

..oh yeah...and take your knives out of his back and put them away in a safe place....you're sitting on it.

One thing for sure, he's safer at home!!

Kick 100 in 2007 Fev and stick it up them!!!

NO....... i dont know how you can compare A WWF clothesline to more or less horse play that anyone who dared complain about it as being out of order and not being able to handle it, I have said before, the players and fans could handle it ok, having spoken with two boys who played last year, they had nothing to say about the violence, they said it was rough, the fact of the matter was ye were better than us, now the aussie media and Adam Selwood himself complained about their safety, what was at risk??? A few fans autograph hunting cos it might be their one chance to see boys form the other side of the world who they watch week in and week out on a highlight show.

And as for the comment on Fev was somewhere where he was susceptible to violence, if you go into any nightclub anywhere in the world, with your temper up then take drink, not only are you looking for trouble but you damn sure will find it.
He is no more susceptible to it here than Melbourne, probably less so here cos most Irish here and at that match follow the blues = Santy or Swans = Tadhg.
Sure go to any Cork game in HQ over the summer and you will see loads of blues guernseys, there is even a sports store there has started to sell them.

Call a spade a spade and not a big shovel, he is no martyr.

Fev acts like a dick when he's on the turps, as do many AFL footballers. I'm disappointed in him but not terribly surprised.

Just exactly explain to me what country Fev was in where he apparently was found drunk and disorderly in a public place. :P

I am being serious here, but i reckon Fevola needs a bit of anger management, he obviously have trouble controlling his emotions, during the season we see him completely loses it on field and he needs to be taken off to the bench for the whole quarter, and he comes back in the next quarter and kicks a bag.
People says he has changed his attitude this year, and I would say it's bullshit, he has not changed one bit. The only difference between this season and his previous seasons, is that there are just less incidents that has occured on-field that makes him loses his temper, and these lesser incidents are beyond his control, it's just that everything fortunately has gone his way. You can't guarantee everything will go his way in the future, so for the sake of the club, please take him to some anger management course.

I think you will find that Fev will be the first one to come out and say I messed up. It reaffirms that he needs to stay sober if he is going to be the man he longs to be -- the fact that he knows he has a problem with alcohol and wants to be a better man is admirable. The only thing that bothered me was how strongly worded the press release from the AFL was without disclosing or refering to details. They basically threw him under the bus. For an administration that is always talking about its concern for player welfare (see the WADA debacle), they didn't need to go as far as they did unless Fev seriously maimed some or caused serious injury. Looks the AFL may be trying to get the AFL on the backpage when there is nothing else to talk about. I'm not defending Fev, but it could have been handled a lot better.
