Not the sort of spin this club needs at the moment.

Penalty: never let out in public without wife and or children at his side.

p.s Fev: give up the grog - it's no good for you.

Synbad...... MY GOD!! Thank the lord you're nowhere near the decision table at Carlton if you STILL think this bloke should lead quality young men for the next several years  .

It proves to me you have absolutely NO idea whatsoever!!

The Duke,.. that might be because were low on captaincy material around the club.
Some dont have any C@#! in them at all...

and others cant play front liner positions...

Anyway.... its not everyday that Fev will be away from the scrutiny of Alex and Co...

We need a real captain dont we???

That might be according to you, Synbad. Many of us know that Lance will do a great job until any one of 4 or five kids can take over in about 2-3 years.

I'd rather have them looking up to someone like Lance than a bloke who appears to show all the signs of someone who struggles with alcohol  . Maybe that's acceptable to you, but not to me.

If it wasn't for his freakish ability to play the game, he'd find himself on the piss with Karl.

The game has moved on and will never go back - Fev needs to either move with it or get off - NOW!!

You're kidding, right? If it was a one off isolated incident, I'd agree.

Now he's [REDACTED] up so many times on and off the field, and yet you're still prepared to stick your head in the sand and let him lead this team??

Most people learn from their mistakes - not this bloke!!

.......or you by the looks of it  .

geez, its people like you that see the world like is now.

he makes a mistake, he regrets the mistake, he is already apologised for the mistake

and you are telling me, that he is a scumbag? he needs to shape up or ship out?

come of it man.

if this was a case of its happened several times in the space of a few months i.e. Karl then yes, i may agree with you

but you know what, it hasnt and im not going to disregard all the good stuff he has done over the last year and abit, becuase of one incident.

this is an isolated incident, nothing more, he is overseas, had to much to drink, and done something he shouldnt have.

hell, we wouldnt have even heard about it if it wasnt for the media and to be honest, we dont need to hear about it, a waste of paper and a waste of time.

if he beat the tripe out of him, then fair enough to, he smashes the bloke and puts him in hospital, fair enough too, but he didnt, its a nothing event and gets people going stupid over such a trival thing.

Chris Tarrant is going to give Fev advice this time :-D
Remember the fight a few weeks ago, with Voss, Lawrence and Gehrig etc in StKilda, no headlocks but punches, seems no one cared much about that.

Ah get off the poor blokes back will ya... All of ya...

He's overseas playing a ridiculous series with absolutely no meaning at all...Why would'nt he get out on the juice!!!

If it was here and during the season i would be pissed... But its not...

Piss heads will always be piss heads but he has shown this season he can lay off it when he wants and needs too....

As far as im concerned F@#$ the AFL, F@#$ the stupid international rules series and keep all carlton players away from this insignificant bulls$#@.

Fev is a goose and he has a problem with the grog but he isnt the first.
He isnt the sharpest tool in the shed either and its no surprise he fell of the wagon and landed with a thud.
He still is immature, needs guidance and has a chance to redeem himself by turning this negative into a positive.
He has admitted guilt, probably needs to do a course in alcohol awareness, then become an ambassador in the area especially for young people.
He can turn this around into something really good for himself if others encourage him and steer him in the right direction..he will have to wear some flak but he can rebuild his image and probably his self esteem...he wouldnt be feeling good about himself..

I would include him in the leadership group and wouldnt abandon him...make him VC and tell him he is still leadership material if he can make the changes to his life that are needed....

Good post
Whilst obviously his responsibility -ridiculous for AFL to let them go to the races get mega and not expect untoward circumstances - trip obviously a junket with little relevance and AFL DESPARATE TO maintain it is relevant and more than a junket so hence their reaction to Fevola

Until he flowers up again and is remorseful.

This is coming from the same people who told us to steer clkear of Gardiner because he couldn't handle himself :? .

No leadership group for you!!

Give him 12 months to rectify and re-assess. AFTER he has improved and not before, give him another opportunity into the leadership group.

wont be captain of carlton but F@%&#!...fev can do what he wants in the off season.

Yeah, you're right Dane. He'll get back from Ireland, face the music, then decide he needs to get away for a few days before pre-season training starts.

So he'll head up to Wollongong for some time out. He'll go out one night for one las night of letting his hair down before he swears off the grog. He'll be sitting there, having had a bit of a session, and Dane will see him and go up for a chat, give him a bit of moral support and encouragement.

But Fev's a bit pissed, not seeing things clearly, takes Dane's intentions the wrong way. Before you know it, he's got Dane in a headlock, bottle in one hand ready to crash over Dane's head.

But it's ok, Fev can do what he wants in the off season.

Quick, somebody put a post up on e-Bay. One Aust International Rules Guernesy, great condition, never worn, ring B. Fevola.

In all honesty though, absolute numptie. This will surely affect his budding media career as well.

If Lance is getting the gig now then I wouldnt hold out much hope for an increased media prescence/profile. He was on SEN the other morning and obviously his much touted brain is so focused on football strategy it has trouble readjusting to more menial tasks like football interviews. Came across about as interesting as a house brick! Still, if he does a good job on the park that is all we are after. Pictures in the membership renewal page on the website have Lance, Marc Murphy and AW I think. Early indicator??

Again, Fev did not wrap his car around a pole and potentially kill himself and someone else. Fev did not associate himself with underworld figures who run the drug trade in Perth. Fev did not rock up late to training. He got into a blue at a pub on his night off. He didn't throw a punch.

Keep things in perspective. I think Elwood hit the nail on the head. How people can be so quick to turn on Fev when he has genuinely been the one ray of light we've had over the past 12 months is extraordinary. Alcohol is his kryptonite. Alex will tell him that in no uncertain terms and his sobriety may have to be imposed all year round.

He is a fantastic guy who loves the club and has genuine ability. Let's not turn into a moralistic lynching squad.
